Our biggest battle is going to be in public education. The propaganda mill is in all but total control, K through PhD. Yet, the next round of voters will be coming out of that system with their poor abused intellects crammed full of lies, hubris, and humanist ideals. What can be done to overwrite what amounts to 17-24 years of captive brainwashing? As a parent of a 12 year old, I have been active in countering some of the outright CRAP the education system is loading her with. (with both the wife and I working full time plus, we simply do not have the option for home schooling, nor can we afford a Christian private school.) Simple truth is all too often not adequate to combat the depth of the liberal propaganda mill, as one of the most troubling aspects of the humanist progressive platform is their ability to completely disregard reality in favor of their agenda.

I don't mean to sound like a Negative Nelly here, but at the same time if we do not fully acknowledge the problems we will be facing, we are not going to be long term successful in bringing us back to the Republic that was handed us 226 years ago.

I'm not optimistic either.  Hillary is a horrible candidate, and she could win.  That tells me that there aren't enough true American's to turn the country around.

As to schools brainwashing, I'm 100% in agreement.  They are on their third and fourth generations of it.  The teachers today were brainwashed as kids, and that's what they teach, because that's all that they know.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

You speak a horrible truth Z, we will be facing a mass of ill informed minds of mush, taught to believe capitalism is evil, that individual freedom does not support the collective.
You mentioned home schooling is not an option? You might be surprised to find many groups willing to take in your children.

The group in my area has about 10 parents involved, trading responsibilities among 20 plus kids, some are children of single parents saddled with mere existence in supporting their kids and simply haven't any time to spare.
Point is, this group took in these kids to see that they got an excellent education.
There may possibly be such a group in your area. It's worth looking into, or even possibly start one of your own, pool your money to hire a teacher or two?

Well, I AM optimistic in that I don't think the dems will pull off a win in 2016. They will lose the WH, and IMO, likely lose more seats in both houses of congress, despite the fact that there are far more republican seats up for grabs. I also believe that the various TEA movements will be reasonably effective in ousting a significant portion of the RINO establishment, bringing the republican party back to its conservative origins.

But KEEPING the coming 2016 victory - that is going to be the challenge.  Especially since we all know the road to recovery is not going to b quick or easy.  Every bump, every pothole - though their origins will lie with the damage done by decades of a sad mix of Marxism and feudalism - will be blamed on capitalism, conservatism, Christianity, and every other aspect of the Constitutional Republic we are trying to bring back.

We need to be prepared.

Well, that is a new one for me Solar.  I didn't know that some parents were doing that with the group setting.  That is definitely a great idea.  Only people you trust with that type of scenario would get the job done.  It doesn't take a college grad to do this either.  I understand some of what is expected thru home schooling and know that the program is ideal even for college bound students.  They have to be taught enough to take and pass entrance exams for college and I'm told they are having good success with this.

Another point I'd like to mention, why are the town hall meetings slowed down?  They had some good input during the last election.  I'm just not hearing where they might be having meetings.  It is a good place to rally and have the issues aired with possible help aids along the way.  Seems like there isn't any interest in my town with the meetings.  I know we had the problem of dem trolls in those meetings and they would try to interrupt and cause trouble but we got past that, I thought.

I think formed with a church group, so they had people willing to do what's RIGHT, not so much preach and pray, but see to it the kids weren't  fed a bunch of lies.

My Congressman is holding one near me in George town, a population of 300 about 7 miles away this weekend.
Though, Tom is unique in that he is one of the better Congressman.
He hits all the rural towns in his didtrict, constantly.
