Do we really want China/Russia/Syria developing a commie/muscum stronghold in our backyard? That is the question that should be addressed as we move forward and not turn a blind eye like Obozo did.

Yep, the last thing we need is Muscum on our Southern border, it's bad enough they're in Congress.
I'm not too concerned about troops in VZ, they are not necessary considering we have a CIA that can arm the good guys fighting the communists.
I also don't think Trump would resort to war, he's no McStain warmongering type, he's proven this when he wanted to pull out of the M/E.

Russia, China, Cuba, Syria, all are suffering serious long term recessions while we're experiencing the biggest boom in US history so it's doubtful they'll stand their ground rather than suffer the wrath of Trump on the open mkt. where trade is essential to their very existence.
Cooler heads will persevere and they'll take Maduro to a new country to live out his time. No one wants a trade war with the US at this time.

Things are heating up rapidly in VZ, ambushes, helicopter crashes etc, the more people fight back, the more pressure the country puts on them. Looks like it's heading toward a full on civil war if something doesn't change fast.

The president has to win the support of the American people before he does much more than we have done with sanctions.

The Democrats will side with the propaganda of Russia, Iran and China if Trump does what we'd all like him to do.  Even if enough Dems support him, they will use his actions as a cudgel against him in the 2020 election, just as they did with the Iraq War when most of the Dems voted for it.

The smart move may very well be to continue to put economic pressure on Russia, China, Iran and Cuba.

If we lose the Presidency, the US may go socialist and eventually we become Venezuela.

BTW, Juan Guaidó is a Socialist, while Mudero is a full blown Communist Dictator.  The people of Venezuela are socialists who are not likely to turn away from wanting the government to take care of them.  They just don't like it under this Dictator!  We must proceed with caution.  In many ways, the people of Venezuela are reaping what they have sewn, just as we will if we allow our nation to elect a Marxist who call themselves a Democrat Socialist.  The threat of socialism in our own country on the eve of a national election makes foreign intervention pretty dicey.  The President could certainly "be more flexible after the election" but it's a long time until November! (2020)
