Today it's confederates, which I can't tell you how stupid that is.  Tomorrow, will it be the slave holders?  What about the mulims that rounded the africans up and sold them?  Hiden was just endorsed by them, no surprise since the democraps were the party of slavery.  The day after, will it be some books that these idiots don't agree with?  Where does it end?, it doesn't.  I see my rep voted yes, she is now officially a RINO with all the scorn that comes with it.  I will be working against her reelection.  The south and the confederacy were not traitors, they were fighting for what they believed in, that doesn't fit the definition of traitor.  Since the democrap party was the party that wanted slavery, fought against the civil rights bills, I suggest we get rid of them, that I would support.

Let me know when you start the thread for a Constitutional debate.

In the meantime, let's keep celebrating this bipartisan victory for America
You stated to the victor go the spoils, so if the police start shooting at the protesters and mow them down, can we expect to see statues of the policemen?

Nazi statues in Germany were taken down as well. This is a good thing.

I understand you're happy they took down statues of a bunch of Democrats, but it's part of our history.

In your country, don't they have history?

It it leads to a Civil War and the police win, they might get a statue put up by their government.

If the protesters win, they'll probably want to put up a statue of themselves.

So, we won the Civil War vs. the Confederacy. We get to put up our statues.

Given the parties today are nothing like what was happening then, it means nothing. It is a silly attempt to deflect the topic.

You might change the name and some of the platform but its the same party.  They know it...but they count on you to say stupid things like that.  LOL

You're delusional! Statues represent history! People see these statues and naturally become curious and do a little research on their own.
That is exactly why the Dims want them removed, they don't want people knowing the truth of their racist history that continues to this very day!

You keep saying "we" but the statues were put up, "we" allowed it. They stood for years, "we" allowed it. The states put them up because they had the right to do so, "we" allowed it, do the states not have rights anyome because you have decided it? Do the people who destroy have more rights than those whose build?

Whatever your definition of people who take down your Nation's flag, take up arms, and try to take the lives of your soldiers. They were that. And that should not be honored at the Capitol of the nation they warred against.

They LEGALLY took down the flag of a foreign nation after LEGALLY seceding.  They took up arms to defend themselves from Tyrant Lincoln's invasion and subjugation, and the took the lives of 360,000 Union stormtroopers.

Don't play the Northern propaganda game with us; we're far more knowledgeable of the facts of that era than you are.

Remember when Joementia said;  Former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday suffered yet another gaffe on the presidential campaign trail, telling attendees of the Iowa State Fair Thursday that "we choose truth over facts."  These idiots need to rewrite history, or remove it to avoid answering questions about the party's strong support of slavery and the confederacy.  At least 34 of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were slave owners.  What do the idiots want to do with them?  1984 is here thanks to the democraps.

Joe is the type that doens't even know what the statues and monuments say.  They are primarily memorials to fallen soldiers and a recognition of the bravery, perseverance and sacrifice of the soldiers, not political screeds in marble and granite. Nothing but local folks honoring local folks.

Solar's right: "People see these statues and naturally become curious and do a little research on their own."  And if they truly look atr the details objectively, they will find that the Northern brainwashing that they received was full of lies and omissions.

And we can't tolerate curiosity among the peasants, can we? If the real history is so forbidden that all symbols of that history are erased, perhaps the indoctrination will be successful.

So you agree the statues represent racism and a racist history, you just want them to stay up as a reminder of prior evil?

At some point even liberals will have to acknowledge that all this removing of statues is just to focus attention away from the real problems. People are being killed but damn that evil statue of Columbus is taken down. Ok liberals, what did you accomplish?
