I think the biggest surprise to me on that list is Bobby Jindal.  I don't think he has a realistic chance ANYWHERE!

But then, Rand being second is also weird....

These are solid conservatives (leaning toward libertarian in some cases) and Patriot type Tea Party folks that voted on the Blaze/Glenn Beck/Stu poll. The other poll (GOP Power Index) is based more on news-show- name recognition so early out in the game, I suspect. (And, Scott Walker hadn't announced yet, either.)

I took the poll, and you rated each candidate, not based on who you thought might win, but on who you most wanted to win.

Any one that truly listens to Bobby Jindal will come away with a real positive feeling about him! I like him I just don't think he could pull it off! He could be a dark horse ( in a non racial way). We have a great field of candidates but we need to trim it fast!

I agree, redbeard.   Jindal does not have the gravitas to succeed.  Nice guy!

At this stage of the game it is largely name recognition!

Well if that is the case Trump should be number one and Cruz towards the bottom.

Not necessarily.  Trump is near the top in some polls.  But Cruz has some recognition because of his strong stand in the Senate.  He has enough recognition to get him up the list somewhat.  Walker also has some name recognition because of his union struggles and "recall" vote.

I just saw a poll on Breitbart..... which probably is ongoing, but the results so far are interesting...

Cruz     31%

Trump  28%

Walker  11%

Paul        7%

Carson    6%

It is sad to see so many among the conservative ranks picking Trump.

True enough, but these would be our low info voters.  They know just enough to vote conservative without knowing why.

Polls are all screwed right now. How many of those Trump supporters do you think are so set they won't except anyone else! I like Trump but I don't take him serious. I think by November or December he will be looking to find a way to bail out. Does anyone really believe he really wants to be president?
I think the Trump supporter will end up with whoever he endorses!

This was a poll by Breitbart in an email I received.  Therefore I cannot give a link.

Breitbart readers tend to be conservatives.  But there is no way of knowing for sure if it is tainted by others.

I am going with what I heard Larry Sabato say yesterday. "At this point polls don't matter".

yep, with the luxury of hindsight, it's obvious the party's have played us with phony polls.
Screw them, the only polls that count are the party's internals, which expose their weaknesses, and those on election day, where we have a solid winning streak over the last couple of cycles.

Polls are pointless when the votes are spread out to all 986 candidates. People will start dropping out after the first debate.
