Krauthammer: why leftist media hates Trump

Tucker Carlson steers psychiatrist and syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer into a layman's explanation of why our media (and leftists in general) are so feral about Trump. Krauthammer says up front he's not a Trump fan, but rises to the occasion admirably.

The following YouTube video has about 1:05 of Kellyanne Conway (simply shocked, shocked I say) over eye-rolls during an interview by the very fey Anderson Cooper, before the actual Krauthammer  interview.

At 2:40 into this video we get this.... (My transcription.)

"Well, if you want to give this the best gloss, there's a question of fitness. I think people have a sense --- some on the right as well --- that he never reached the threshold of being fit for the presidency, in terms of his knowledge, in terms of his temperament, in terms of his manner, for the way he treated some of the other candidates, the way he insulted people --- I think there's something about his persona that repels people, and that spills over into how they treat him journalistically, which I think ought not to be the case."

Another bullseye about American media. Stop whining. They're libs, it ain't gonna change. Conservative media have, however, made inroads. This isn't your grandpa's one-outlook media any more.

The Media hate Trump because, unlike them, he hasn't spent his entire adult life talking about doing things; he's done things. Trump exposes the fact that they talk a good game  - and little else. If they don't tear him down, the public will realize - which most have, with the exception of DC pols - how little power they really have, and how little we really need them.
"LIBERALS: their willful ignorance is rivaled only by their catastrophic stupidity"!

Well said, squire, although in balance, Krauthammer is correct.

In balance, critics said he'd wreck America, and instead he has already revived the employment picture, and Uncle Sugar on his watch has collected record amounts of tax revenues. (Not that Congress will curb spending, God no.) Trump has also browbeat Boeing into lowering F-35 costs, boosted the Japanese economy and self-defense posture through the F-35 contract to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries --- and put wasteful government contractors on notice.

All true, also all pathetically incomplete if you count Trump claims and his nothingburger executive orders, or his also all taking credit for initiatives begun on Obama's watch (withheld until favorable political climates prevailed). Every first-year Prez picks and chooses that sort of stuff, either party, any era.

But Donald Trump is also everything Charles Krauthammer says about him. He knows little, insults many, and has a repellent personality based mostly on slamming anyone not quite as wonderful as he is. Krauthammer is also correct about our media: they'll never change, although he also says, "Their monopoly has been broken. The media knows it can no longer get away with murder."

Race to the bottom, anyone?

The left is unhinged at this point - grabbing for anything to discredit Trump. And Trump doesn't do himself any favors by some of his actions - just pours the gas and throws the match. It's comical but probably less productive than if he wouldn't light every issue on fire at once.

There's one thing I'm longing for. I just soooo wish that the next time Maxine Waters opens that big mouth someone would shove about four grapefruits in there. I bet she could still yammer on with four normal-sized grapefruit in her mouth. Maybe she could be the star in the remake of Cool Hand Luke. "Yeah ... I bet you I can eat fifty eggs", but instead, "I bet I can still talk with four grapefruit in my mouth." She would have to unhinge her jaw like a snake ... that shouldn't be a problem for her. Female Inmate: "Three in Maxine ... only one more to go. " Maxine: "Dith ah mishn whe nee sta impesh Shrump". Inmate: "Yep, she did it with three. Fourth is goin in."

This is what I see with Trump. Instead to reacting to every barb by the MSM he should give them the Reagan treatment by ignoring them. This would drive them absolutely nuts.

Leftists like to bully conservatives.

Most conservatives took it.

Trump doesn't take it. He not only fights back, he fights harder and dirtier than the left.

That's why the hate him. He's beating them at their own game, and it frustrates them beyond belief.

They are already nuts, because this generation of media have never been mocked as thoroughly as they have been and are being by the Hair Comb in Chief. Slowly, very slowly, even the left is catching on how ridiculous they sound with all this sniveling. It won't percolate down to their unwashed masses for awhile (and some will never accept it). But this rage over a terrible candidate losing to a superior campaign will someday have to stop. The worthlessness of Clinton's campaign must finally be acknowledged.

If you think women's rights and achievements matter one damned bit to the Party of Lies, then why aren't they admitting KellyAnne Conway did a first for all womanhood, running a successful campaign? Nah. The wrong bitch lost. The media must make her pay, and the Twitter freak she rode in with.

I agree with you but I can see donkeys flying before I can see trump with his mouth shut. I believe he is so thin skinned he has to have the last word. When it comes to his fights with the lsm I am reminded of an old saying" you can't wrestle with a turd without getting shit on you" I wish Trump would learn this.
