!2/31 Is The New "Drop Dead" Date For Debt Ceiling

It is being reported that the fed's debt ceiling limit will be reached on 12/31. My feeling is this is maybe the only "card" the Republicans have to encourage the dems to make some real cuts. I hope Boehner does not cave and uses this as leverage. What do others think?

Hussein will let automatic cuts and tax increase kick in, once this happens, he will allow the tax increases to be the norm, fund social programs, then make tax cuts to low income (as if they need it) and tout himself as the savior of the people.

End result, higher taxes for everyone and social programs will stay, but Military will be stuck with a slashed budget.
Going over the cliff is what he wanted all along.

Why bother having a Debt Ceiling if you are just going to keep raising it?  :huh:

Somewhat agree with Solar, especially about the military spending cuts.  Can't have us at least able to defend ourselves against other countries that know we are already economically strapped, now can we?   :rolleyes:

That's Exactly what it is Billy, it's Romper Room for libs, and even that seems to be above their absorption rate.

Think about it, the Dims haven't had a budget the entire time Husein has been in office and they controlled both houses, but now for some strange reason it's our fault they can't spend more?

This is like the rich spoiled wife getting put on a budget because the husband lost his entire fortune, but instead of her seeing reality, she takes him to court for abuse, because she sees her lifestyle threatened and to her, that's abuse.

The libs are taking us to court via their media. We can't seem to grasp the stupidity of their audience, because commonsense dictates otherwise.
We are now living in Bizarro land...
