I saw this on google news today.

Since when is this so called "lifestyle" not only allowed and condoned by the Defense Department?

I mean ok I"ve heard of "don't ask don't tell" and all that crazy moral busting force strength weakening crap. But even under that, this photo equaled dishonorable discharge or so this old vet thought.

But even with don't ask don't tell, since when does the friggin U.S. Navy furnish the photos? (note who provided the photo in the caption)

One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

Just tears at your heartstrings doesn't it? What else should we expect from the AP?

A: Solar me too. B:sups it wasn't the AP it was the U.S. Navy which provided the photo to the AP. And that is what I don't get, why the hell is a Navy photographer even present and on hand for this?

I'm sorry but is the U.S. Navy going to provide photographers to be on hand for every straight man or woman that proposes to his/her future spouse?

If not then they have/had no business providing a photographer for this either.

The wasted tax dollars photographing this aberrant behavior is in and of itself irksome at a time when out nation really doesn't have the money to throw away.

But to use the U.S. friggin Navy, the second oldest military force our nation has, to push this leftist, aberrant agenda is beyond disgusting.

And really makes me say WTF is going on in my country? Has everyone lost their mind?

Somewhere in an officer's service record will go a Sticky Note that never shows up in permanent archival records, detailing this use of Navy funds. DADT was a poor compromise but this high-dive off the flight deck onto a concrete pier makes no freaking sense at all. Worse, whoever requisitioned the photographer and whoever authorized the release of that photo should be noted for future review.....

Hemorrhoids.  That's the first thing that popped in my head when I saw the photo.

Yawn

I knew better, but I had to click on the link. Now that image is stuck in my head!  :cursing:

Depends on how deep Obama's little muslim, gay, socialist claws get into the military system, with his surrogates.

He's already got decorations going to those who honor islam in various ways.

I can easily see the support of the gay agenda getting people promoted to the upper echelon, and the higher awards & decs.  He just needs Hagel and a few more 3 and 4 stars doing his bidding, making it SOP.

You know I put it here in the "distraction forum" because at the time I thought it was just that, the MSM pushing a non story to divert attention away from what is being done to destroy our nation and it's traditions.

But I have to admit that after reading some of your posts, and seeing your thoughts about this too, that perhaps I was mistaken in doing so.

Perhaps I should have put this in the other forum with the rest of the Obammy camp shenanigans.

Without pointing any fingers or naming any names, (you know who you are) I would like to thank you all, for causing me to realize that this "non story" distraction about a photo op, is really, a picture perfect example of precisely what is wrong with our nation today.

When you look a little deeper at this photo at the forces which drove it's creation and handover to the press, one realizes rather (to me at least) shockingly that this photo, while on the surface having nothing to do with the Obammy machine, really is a mirror of all that is wrong with the left in America today.
