The union is looking to take the pay raise and put it in there own pockets.   As older people tell them to kiss off.  They are not looking at helping the young kids only the union.

WASHINGTON (AP) — With union membership on the decline, labor leaders are getting more creative — and some say more desperate — to boost sagging numbers and rebuild their waning clout.

Unions are helping non-union fast-food workers around the country hold strikes to protest low wages and poor working conditions. They are trying to organize home day-care workers, university graduate students and even newly legalized marijuana dealers. Members of a "shadow union" at Wal-Mart hold regular protests at the giant retailer, which long has been resistant to organizing.

Labor leaders say unions must create new models and new ways to represent workers to reverse a steady slide in the union ranks. Those efforts have taken on greater urgency since the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported earlier this year that union membership had declined to just 11.3 percent of the workforce — its lowest point in nearly a century.

Excellent.  The weaker the unions, the better our elections will be.

They did not say.  But even it was just for the ?business sector's leeches", that would be great.

I'm just waiting for the anguished howls when those same kids vote in a union at Hamburgers-Be-Us ... and then the Obamacommiecare deductions and their union dues all are taken from the same paycheck ... and it's the first of the month and their rent is due.

The louder they scream, yell back: "You got what you asked for!"

As for government unions, if I were Prez, on Day One, 8:00 A.M., I would hire "Chainsaw Al" Dunlap the corporate downsizing genius, and detail a battalion of Marines to clear each building so designated. Hoo-boy have I got ideas on that one....

Hire him the night before and don't let them in the buildings. Imagine showing up for your do nothing job, and finding a pissed off Marine, who would much rather be down at the club, standing there.

  That image of an armed Marine bracing hundreds of gimmecrats brings a tear of patriotic pride to mine eyes. I think the expected rate upon graduating basic is to easily go 1 to 100 and not work up a sweat. Yeah. Big Marines with big guns, and a whole lot of fun if anyone wants to argue.....
