Title: Ungrateful Punks!

Trump Says He Should Have Left UCLA Players in Chinese Jail

"Who?" LaVar Ball told ESPN on Friday, when asked about Trump's involvement in the matter. "What was he over there for? Don't tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out."

Trump has said he raised the players' detention with Chinese President Xi Jinping (shee jihn-peeng) during the leaders' recent meeting in Beijing.

"As long as my boy's back here, I'm fine," LaVar Ball told ESPN. "I'm happy with how things were handled. A lot of people like to say a lot of things that they thought happened over there. Like I told him, 'They try to make a big deal out of nothing sometimes.'

"I'm from LA. I've seen a lot worse things happen than a guy taking some glasses. My son has built up enough character that one bad decision doesn't define him. Now if you can go back and say when he was 12 years old he was shoplifting and stealing cars and going wild, then that's a different thing," he said.

Says Trump: "Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!"

With that way of thinking he will end up in a U.S. jail, he can thank his father for his way of thinking.

Or dead. The kid was raised to believe he is above the little people, and some worthless thug will eventually prove he's on his level, or rather, six feet below.

Title: Pres. Trump, " I should have left them in jail".

This is my first post here. I did not see an intro forum. What better subject than the three B-ball players, while on a mission of goodwill in China, shoplift like they are at the Dollar Store back home. Ungrateful father (Ball) seriously needs to wake up.

Trump tweeted: "Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail, LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting is no big deal. I should have left them in jail!"

The elder Ball was asked Friday about President Trump's involvement in getting his son safely out of China.

"Who?" Ball replied. "What was he over there for? Don't tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out."

Trump drew the ire of the liberal media last week when he wondered aloud whether the three players would thank him for his efforts — they did once back in the states.

The father also downplayed his son's alleged illegal behavior.

"As long as my boy's back here, I'm fine," Ball told ESPN. "I'm happy with how things were handled."

"A lot of people like to say a lot of things that they thought happened over there," he continued. "Like I told him, 'They try to make a big deal out of nothing sometimes.' I'm from L.A. I've seen a lot worse things happen than a guy taking some glasses."

Petty thieves. Trump should have negotiated they spend a year in a Chinese prison before being shipped home.

Or better yet, go through the court system, meaning time in jail awaiting trial which usually entails a year or more.
But Chinese offer alternate justice, public caning, so they could have taken caning over awaiting justice.
I mean, after all, stealing from three high end stores was merely a mistake, right? I mean, isn't that something everyone does when you visit other countries, because we all know, they'd never do that shit here in the US.

Yeah, Trump screwed up huge, these punks will learn nothing.

A little perspective on Ball.

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/03/lavar-ball-lonzo-ball-dad-kill-michael-jordan-one-on-one-beat-nba-curry-ucla
QuoteLaVar Ball, the father of UCLA sensation Lonzo Ball, has unleashed a ton of hot takes over the past couple months. He twice said that his son is better than two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry, and somehow that wasn't LaVar's most outlandish statement.

In an interview with USA TODAY Sports' Josh Peter, LaVar fired off his hottest take yet. He seriously claimed that he could beat Michael Jordan in one-on-one. THE Michael Jordan.

a.  That's a hell-of-a-lot for his son to live up to.
b.  Jordan wasn't just a GREAT player, he also lifted up his teammates' level of play, year after year... hence the string of Championships.

So... I guess Ball isn't exactly "camera shy".   For god's sake, if you're gonna say something stupid, and peg your son with a near impossible task to live up to... don't do it in front of a camera!

QuoteSo, for context, LaVar is currently 6-7, 270 pounds. He played basketball at Washington State where he averaged 2 points per game before transferring to Cal State – Los Angeles, a Division II program. He was an All-Conference player there in 1990.

Michael Jordan, though, is, well, THE BEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER. He led North Carolina to a national title in college. He won six NBA titles. He starred in Space Jam. It doesn't get any bigger than that.

Sounds sort of like an empty barrel ... where did I hear that last?   Oh, it was from a "woman".   :ttoung:
