This is the most absurd and ridiculous article I have come across in quite awhile. Looks like I need to fire up the b'que grill more frequently and consume more beef!

These are the most climate-damaging foods

The Natural Resources Defense Council, an international nonprofit environmental organization founded in 1970, has released a report on food and climate-warming pollution in the US which includes a list of 10 common foods that are considered to be highly climate-damaging, in relation to the amount of CO2 released for each kilogram of food produced.
The study analyzed 197 foods -- tracked by USDA's Economic Research Service -- and tallied their cumulative climate-warming pollution from 2005 to 2014. Excluded from the list are some foods that most people are not familiar with or are difficult to deliberately avoid, because they are often used in ingredients in other products as opposed to purchased directly by consumers in large amounts. These include: lard and beef tallow (11.92 kg of CO2 per kg of food), dry milk products (10.4 kg of CO2 per kg of food), and other added fats and oils such as palm oil (6.30 kg of CO2 per kg of food).......

Of course it is absurd, look who is promoting this article....fake news central......

And of course beef is at the top of the list. Obamao said we shouldn't eat steak etc etc.

I've been making it a point to buy those angus burgers and angus rib eyes.....comes from Montana and Wyoming...but the best stuff comes from a local Amish market.....

The only way to properly contrast this article would be to show the 10 best foods for fighting global warming! They won't do that because no one would want to eat that crap!
If you went into my families fridge and freezer you would see it stocked with 80% of the things on their list. I am eating ribs right now as I post!

Obama told us not to eat steaks, meanwhile Michelle managed to sate every Big Mac attack she had.

Beans are notorious for "polluting your environment" if you don't open a window.

We've had the oven going for +12 hours with a couple of big chunks of pork @ 250 degrees... gonna do a little piggy pickin'...!
Wonder how much that hurts the global warming cause?   Pigs can really stink the place up, but unlike any other animal they have a special talent, like magic, the ability to turn vegetables & common food scraps into BACON!

So now we have PETA teaming up with Global Warming fanatics.   Why'd it take so long?

I didn't know it until last night, but Jim Beam BBQ sauce is really good on pulled pork!

Hey!  I'm saving energy by reducing the load on my freezer, converting pork roasts to neat little vacuum packed packages of pulled pork.

I feel pretty good about it too!   Like an environmentalist, I just used a TON of energy (cooking for 18hrs) to save a tiny bit (of freezer space).

I buy certified Black Angus beef from a local butcher and I must confess, I fire up the b'que grill a couple time a weeks to cook steaks and burgers.  Nothing beats a good steak cooked on the grill.
