The Redskins name debate just isn't going away.

A new political cartoon in the New York Daily News is raising eyebrows by comparing the Skins logo to a swastika and the confederate flag.

Next to it is written the caption "Archaic Symbols of Pride and Heritage."

FOX 5 reached out to a number of businesses that advertise at Fed-Ex Field, the home stadium of the Redskins, to see if the name bothered them.

They either had no comment on the issue but offered support for the team and the partnership - or didn't call us back altogether.

In a related story, The Richmond Free Press is dropping the Redskins nickname for the Washington NFL team from its pages, calling it racist.

In an editorial Thursday, the weekly primarily aimed at the city's African-American community called the name insulting to Native Americans and divisive.

Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder announced today he is bowing to pressure from Pres. Obama and Native American activists and is changing his football team's name to the Washington Corruption. The new symbol of the team will be the White House and the team's mascot will be a caricature version of Obama.

Fans may show their team spirit by donning Obama masks or painting each half of their faces with the team's colors so they are symbolically two-faced to honor the team's spirit. The new team colors are black and white to symbolize both the racial tolerance symbolized by Pres. Obama's biracial heritage and the dichotomous or black-and-white thinking required for demonizing opponents while idealizing the team and all its allies until the team's progress requires them to be thrown under the bus.

"However, since vocal groups of Native Americans no longer wish to be associated with those qualities, which inspire so much admiration and respect, I began to consider the idea of keeping the Native American theme, but updating it to the twenty-first century. I asked myself, what are Native Americans most known for today? However, I decided the team's new name must be more universally frightening than the Washington Usurers, the Washington Casinos, or the Washington Welfares.

But, hey, it can go on and on. Some examples:

• San Francisco 49ers -- disparaging the memory of greedy gold miners
• Arizona Cardinals -- now who can abuse those cute little red birds?
• Philadelphia Eagles -- they're having a tough enough time trying to fly through all the damned wind turbines
• New England Patriots -- oh, the left will be havin' none of that!
• Denver Broncos/Indianapolis Colts -- what, are we running down horses with these?
• Green Bay Packers/Pittsburgh Steelers/Dallas Cowboys -- blatant exploitation of low and middle class occupational groups.
