QuoteThere's a lot of sterotypes in the greater gearhead global community about Prius drivers, many of which are unfair. The vast majority of Prius drivers are, I'm sure, fine, upstanding people. But not all, and this is the percentage that gives them a bad name. Drivers like an Olympia, Washington woman who refused to pull over for a cop, telling the officer "I drive a Prius."
The incident happened last Sunday in Marysville, Washington, when a Washington State Patrol trooper noticed the white Prius driving on expired license plate tags. The trooper turned on his lights, but, according to the arrest report, 42-year old Jamie Petrozzi "made no reasonable attempt to pull over."
This is when she said "I will not. I drive a Prius. I am not pulling over there." While it's not clear why owning a Prius would keep someone from pulling over anywhere, the report suggested that she wouldn't pull over onto the shoulder because her "tires kept popping," which I'm pretty sure isn't a thing about Priuses.
Petrozzi stated she would pull into a bank parking lot, presumably nearby. After the fourth request to pull off the road was refused, she was forced out of the car, which prompted her to tell the trooper "I will own your bank account. I will own your house."
So her defense is that she's entitled? Good luck with that.
Sounds like a 1000% leftist.

Sounds like Kavanaugh's accuser.
The cop should be disciplined. Why didn't he write her up for owning a Prius?

I actually WANT an Electric Car next time I buy.
I don't give a sh*t about the environment.
I am just sick to death of:
Oil
Coolant
Exhaust
Spark Plugs and Wires
Pistons
Valves
Transmissions
Water Pumps
Idler Pullies
Serpentine Belts
Timing Belts
etc.
I do not want a Hybrid - they have the problems of BOTH technologies.
I want SIMPLICITY.

If you want simplicity look for a 1951 Ford with a flat head V-8.

DEAD ONI already own an Electric LawnMower and Chain Saw.
They START and RUN.
No freakin' gas, oil, stabil, pull rope.
No hassle at all.
Now I understand there are those that require really powerful GASOLINE-POWERED machines, but as a Retired Suburban I sure don't.

I would not run the Chain Saw without oil for the chain. Unless you enjoy buying a new chain and cutting bar every time you use it.

I love Oil. So much I do not want to burn it.
I'd much rather BURN ATOMS.

I would be embarrassed if I were her. What was she thinking? Lol, This shit just baffles me sometimes.
Why are most electric cars ugly (Prius) or expensive (BMW i8)?
I don't want a Prius. I don't want to turn into a pretentious Liberal turd-burglar.
