Title: Philippines legislators toss Duerte impeachment
Post by: quiller on May 15, 2017, 02:48:29 PM
Proving you can't keep a foul-mouthed Filipino firebrand down....

QuoteMay 15 (UPI) -- Philippines legislators on Monday unanimously threw out an impeachment complaint against President Rodrigo Duterte that accused him of leading the mass murder of several thousand people in his crackdown on drug use.

The Justice Committee of the House of Representatives reviewed the complaint and declared it lacked it insuccient. The decision bars any new impeachment case, including by the complaintant, Congressman Gary Alejano, until March.

All 42 members of the committee voted against the complaint and will recommend its dismissal by the 292-seat Congress, where Duterte has a super-majority.

I remember when our press made it sound like they disapproved when he swore at Trump. Then they heard he was wasting drug dealers and they started talking out both sides of their two faces. Of course political enemies are being picked off, nothing new there. But this focus on killing dealers is turning the PI into another Malaysia on sentencing.

In that place and in this time, aren't fewer drugs and dealers a good thing, no matter how extreme the measures to remove them? Under our laws, no. Theirs---not so much.

I never heard him swearing at Trump, as a matter of fact there was recent talk of a White House visit. Dutuerte SWORE AT OBAMAO, called him a son of a whore (pretty accurate) after Hussein started making remarks about the drug dealer body  count in the Phils.

While many of the drug dealers are the Chinese and Japanese gangsters that bring in or cook Meth (Shabu) a lot of the drug dealers are facilitated by the corrupt elected Filipino officials who buy votes with the drug money....sort of like Chicago.

Ah, Chicago. Maybe my paradigm is wrong and this is Anton Cermak kicking out Capone-backed Republicans, so Cermak's crooks could rule.

Considering how Cermak sent two city cops to murder Frank Nitti --- and they bungled it --- maybe the comparison isn't all that far off. The pushers who survive could be Duerte's, and those getting killed are his business enemies.

Dem as in them...or Dem? Weiner's pleaded to one count of sexting to a minor.....

Back to topic, reluctantly, despite the term LBFM floating in my head. If it's the southern area, such as Mindanao, then isn't this a case of selling muslim captives to muslim buyers?

'Dem' as in 'Dey' or 'Dose'. Youse unnerstan? Muzz usually kidnap rich Chinese Filipino's and ransom them or the occasional foreigner, but by an large most of the trafficked girls are 'recruited' by Older Filipina's working for the Yak's under the guise of "entertainment coordinators"often referred to (not very kindly) by Filipino's as "JAPIYOKI's"  a term stemming from their alleged employment as entertainers in upscale Japanese clubs in Ginza district, singing on Kariyoki machines.....yeah right....They have a whole network aimed at recruiting young girls and locating those wishing to sell their viginity. Mindanao being about the poorest place in the poorest country in Asia never a lacking supply.
