Pro-abortion advocates are happy to discover that Ohio Governor Kasich has vetoed the controversial "heart-beat bill" that would ban abortions as soon as a heart beat was detectable. BUT he also signed into power a 20-week abortion ban that should help ease the disappointment in prolife circles.

From the Columbus Dispatch:

Ohio Gov. John Kasich today vetoed the Heartbeat Bill forbidding abortions when a fetal heartbeat can be detected while signing into law a second bill banning abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.

The second-term Republican previously had expressed concerns about the constitutionality of the Heartbeat Bill, which would have been the most restrictive abortion law in the nation.

Federal courts struck down identical measures in two states in finding it was an undue state restriction on a woman's right to an abortion at a point when some women do not realize they are pregnant.

Kasich has gone pure batshit democrat since being embarrassed by Trump this past year. Go ahead and put a (d) behind his name.

Agreed. The heartbeat bill would have sent a far stronger message. A constitutional ban on infanticide would be even better.

I disagree. He'll use the compromise excuse, this was the best we could get, blue sky, doo-dah, doo-dah. I hope they term limit him, even if they never had term limits until him.

Thing is, this is no longer a left right issue, polls show a near even split on both side of the aisle in ending abortion amongst Millennial at nearly 80%.

Then let their outrage lead to a fresh governor and a stronger stance against baby killing.

Kasich ended his career when he stayed in just to sabotage Ted Cruz,
and then pouted all summer just to sabotage Donald Trump
(who won Ohio by almost 9 points!)

He's already term limited.  In January 2019, he's gone!

He could go back to Lehman Brothers, but they're gone, too!

It would have made little difference if he'd signed the heartbeat bill.
The courts would have struck it down,
just like they have similar bills in other states.
Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!
