People often make the false assumption that Believers will not fight back or stick up for themselves and are therefore easy and safe targets. 

Did you notice the woman who stepped right into the good guy's personal space and smacked him?  The good guy CLOCKED the man that swung the metal pipe at him, but when the woman smacked the good guy, he took 2 steps back and refrained from striking her.  It happened so quickly, this good guy has had excellent training and has great discernment.   OK to clobber man with weapon, not OK to strike unarmed woman.

My wife can take down a 200+ lb. man in under 10 to 15 Sec.  just using her hands being nice.  She can also take out a man just with her hands.  She is a black belt in Aikido and Tae Kwon Do.  I have two daughters and also a son that are black belts in both of the martial arts.  My wife was only 125 lbs when in law enforcement. 

So hand are a weapon.

My younger brother was in the U.S. Marine, and started in Martial Arts there.  When he can out he went on to get Second Degree Black belts in both.  So my wife and kids took class from him for 20 years, along with his new wife.     As my brother always said, you don't fight unless there is no way out.

I would suggest Aikido, Japanese Martial art developed for the smaller, weaker person in mind. WHen in Japan I had the Grandaughter of a Japanese Master teaching at the dojo....all of about 110 lbs, she threw my 210 lbs to the mat so fast I couldn't even see what she did. The problem in the US is finding a qualified Master to teach this art. Absent a Qualified SENSI in Aikido, I would also look into Judo, plenty of teachers.
