I try to watch this show on Fox News if I can.  Now, Greta is probably still a card carrying Democrat.  But, she's come a long way, and I think it's sincere.

Last night, Aug. 6, she had a "panel" discussion about the Congress being gone for 5 weeks when so many pressing things were out there.  She seemed to be the only one upset about this!  The other ones were like, well, the do this every year blah blah.  There's always problems, one of them says.

But, I get her emotion exactly.  We have people pouring over the border EVERY DAY, and each day is compounding the problem.  So, why is there no sense of urgency.  The others were like, well, that House bill is all just for show, blah blah.

I think she gets something a lot don't - that being in Washington is INSULATING them from the real world and what is going on out there.  How upset the citizens really are about this.

No question you are correct about them being insulated. They are more concerned with being reelected than getting the job done. I can't really disagree with pundits that nothing would get done either. If the dems in the House pass something of significance Dinghy Harry would stuff it in his over flowing desk so as not to further expose red state dems up for reelection. The world we live in right now.

Well, Greta is not a politician.  So, I don't get what way she would move would make a difference.  She's on Fox News.  I think she is one of the few that truly TRIES not to be biased.

I am totally aware of media bias.  I have seen it since 1994, when the Republicans took control of the House.  Connie Chung and Dan Rather practically had a funeral!  It was hilarious.  It was after I started listening to Rush that I understood it.

I totally have RADAR where the media is liberal.  Ms VanSusteren, in my opinion, is one who TRIES not to be biased.  I also think her personal viewpoint may have moved right.  I am not sure whether she would go so far as to VOTE Republican, but it wouldn't shock me.

And FYI, I am a staunch conservative, and don't get why that was asked at all.

There is NOTHING Congress (the House) can do to fix anything as long as Harry Reid oversees the Senate and Obama does his dictator thing in the White House. There's a complete breakdown of Law & Order under this administration.  MAYBE, if we take the Senate, we can at least slow his damage down. But as Rush says, "Elections have consequences."

As much as some here want to bash Romney, we'd have NONE of this going on with him in the White House.

Elections have consequences. THINK LONG AND HARD abut that when you're tempted to sit out the 2016 election because your favorite guy didn't win the primary.

Are you addressing anyone in particular, because I didn't see anyone say they are sitting out the election.

Cryptic Bert

Greta plays it straight down the middle. That is why she is so popular and her counterpart on MSNBC Chris Mathews is barely above water.

Again, if I didn't quote anyone, then I'm addressing the Forum (lurkers, casual readers and posters) with general points to keep in mind. Most forums will tell you that the number of lurkers greatly outnumbers the relatively few posters.

Remember 2012 where 4 million Republicans who had voted for GW Bush decided to stay home and give Obama another 4 very long years?  Seems like a point worth mentioning. Another 4 years of Communist rule because the "perfect" candidate didn't win the primary? I'm hoping we learned a lesson, but I'm hearing a lot of folks have been dropping out because they think it's over.

Conservatives outnumber libs 2-to-1, but Conservatives seem less motivated. I'm hoping Obama fatigue will demotivate these voters. Hawaii gives me hope.

So because 4 million dropped the GOP and refused to vote for a party that failed in doing what they were elected to do, which in turn let the communists get a foothold, in your mind is the fault of the electorate?

Put on your critical thinking cap, the problem isn't the constituency, it's the fault of failed representation, and to fall for that shit, and still vote even though you know you're only voting for the lesser of two evils, only perpetuates the problem.

At some point you, like so many out there realize we need to make change, which is why TEA has made an amazing breakthrough, why the Marxist used the IRS against us, it's why the establishment called us the enemy, because we're done being pawns in their game, we're killing their game, one where they set the rules, of which do you choose, the sacrificial volcano, or the shark infested waters.

No my friend, it's not a failure of the 4 million sane constituents, it's your inability to recognize the meaning of the word insanity and repeat the same mistake decade after decade.
That's why CPF has made TEA polity of this forum to push the message of Say No to SOCIALISM, Kill the RINO!

If you have a problem with that, too bad, you knew coming in we we're TEA, and as TEA, we're done with the failed politics of both party's.

Would we have MOVED FORWARD from where we came after 4 years of Obama?

Would America be a better place TODAY if Romney were in the White House TODAY? Or would we be even worse off with Romney than we are today?

Who's not thinking critically?  Seems like a clear choice to me.

Turn it around. Are we better off having RINO in power since Reagan was in office?

You see, the path we've been on would have taken us into full blown socialism with in the next 30 years regardless.
Putting Romney or any RINO in office would be perpetuating the problem. Would it not be better to force 30 years into into one 8 year term and wake the people up to what was in store for them?

Personally, I think the Marxist came just in time, before the last generation that could still remember what it meant to be free, died off.
