I placed this here because I believe Jane Fonda is a distraction. I am sure Rupert Murdoch really gives a damn what she thinks. She deserves no credibility.

Is that what you call her.  I would like to see her walking through a minefield about 10 miles square.  But then my brother tells me I am being nice also.

Even Ted Turner couldn't put up with her.

Poor Janey, the evil worthless skank. Censorship, you ignorant body-part, is when Murdock buys Netflix and cancels your upcoming hag-fest TV series.

It's just absolutely HIDEOUS that a man can hold conservative values and get to be so rich that he can swing a deal to obtain a company he would then have to answer to its board of directors and stockholders for. How awful! And to think that once he DOES acquire Time Warner, he's got rights to a lot of the Fonda movies we would probably continue to have access to, while she stands screaming over censorship.

The last thing Jane did that was even remotely interesting was the movie "Barbarella"....... :ttoung:
The USA is fast becoming "The Land of the Fleeced and the home of de-praved"....

"Cat Ballou" was OK, as was "Klute," but the best part of Henry's acting talent was not what got used in her DNA. I find it coldly amusing she couldn't get along with Ted Turner (an equally dangerous hypocrite), but when you mix two brands of batshit-crazy and expect marshmallows, you inevitably get something so toxic a marriage it would be unlikely to survive, and theirs didn't.

No matter how hard she tries, not one SANE Vietnam veteran alive will ever forgive her for that stunt on the VC cannon. I would not cross the street to piss on her if she were on fire.

You're right, Cat Ballou was good, mostly because of Lee Marvin.
I would cross the street to piss on her if she was on fire......but only to give her a brief moment of false hope as she did to our boys in Hanoi....and to make her smell a little worse.......

I will give the Devil his or her own due about the acting side, if the talent matches the off-screen rhetoric. The Brit actors who are openly queer, for example, including some of the finest actors alive today. Can't say that about imitative Johnny One Note actors like Kevin Spacey trying to expand into something political by adapting a UK series far better left untouched. Our "actors" don't fare well under most European standards.

Peter and Jane both followed Henry and at least Peter went his own way artistically for better or worse, whereas Jane stayed blatantly political in most of her work, with Electric Horseman among the more distasteful offerings. She was an unconvincing hooker in Klute, unlike Barbra Streisand (another ultra-liberal) was in Nuts.

And yet she was title character of a film best remembered for a guy on a drunken horse. You know. He was in all the old war movies, it'll come to me in a minute, right after I recall anything Fonda ever acted in that was worth the ticket I paid.

Many years ago I walked into a "Larga Distancia" office in Tampico, turned a corner and I swear to G-d there sat Lee Marvin (or his clone) making a call, I stopped with no doubt a dumb founded look on my face, he turned winked and said "yea yea kid, now go away".....
