She appears capable of replacing him.
Considering how Gregory's blatant partisanship and laughable shallow thinking led many viewers to go elsewhere, the show's ratings under Chuck Todd SHOULD see a noticeable increase. SHOULD. I'll never forget the goofy expression Gregory had on his face the night he and Tingles Matthews sat watching Sarah Palin's "Momma Grizzly" speech: talk about conflicted emotions. He hated the politics but lusted, and I do mean lusted, over the messenger. Comedy gold.

Todd's not in the Tim Russert mold but does come far closer than Gregory, who reportedly took a $4 million buyout to get him off the show. Todd's expected to ask tough fair questions but isn't as likely as Russert was to ask the jaw-dropping out-of-the-blue REALLY tough questions that made for good interviews.
