Invest in RotoRooter now.

Quote
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – There will soon be more focus on flushes and scrutiny over showers with a new law signed in by the governor.

California is now the first state in the nation to enact tough new water-efficiency standards. The controversial rules limit how many gallons a person can use inside their home per day.

“So that everyone in California is at least integrating efficiency into our preparations for climate change,” said Felicia Marcus, Chair of the State Water Resources Control Board.

So, what are the new rules?

In 2022, the new indoor water standard will be 55 gallons per person, per day. by 2030, it will fall to 50 gallons.

“With a child and every day having to wash clothes, that’s, just my opinion, not feasible. But I get it and I understand that we’re trying to preserve…but 55 gallons a day?” said Tanya Allen, who has a 4-year-old daughter.

By 2022 there will be almost no one left in California so conserving water will not be an issue.

I'm assuming washing machines will become extinct.

This takes me back about 80+ years.  When you had to carry your water into the house and heat it on the wood stove on the farm.

How are you gong to stop all the third worlders and illegal aliens from using water, what are you going to do, fine them, they won't pay any fine.

DUring my tenure overseas in various third world countries I remember there was NEVER any hot water after a certain time of night in my hotel. Sure enough Mama san used it all up washing clothes for the family of ten in the bath tub and hanging it out to dry on the balcony

Folks, read the article, it's pure bullshit!
There is no law, there is only one person talking about this leftist nonsense, and that is CBS 13, a well known leftist news station in Ca, where tabloid news gets breaking news status.
Som Dim probably proposed this and got laughed out of conference, got pissed and ran to CBS 13 where he knew he would be heard.

The only reason I believed it was because it came from a CBS station.

Fines up to $10,000.00 a day doesn't sound fake to me?

Or did the LA TIMES fall for it too?

Or these guys ...

Meanwhile the Sierra runoff flows billions of gallons out to sea and under the golden gate every year because they refuse to build dams and want to protect the delta minnows rather then helping humans who need water to live.

In the meantime some tips on conserving the water supply and for help on following the rules:

An old simple but true method of saving water - pee in the shower while washing.
It’s all going down the same drain pipes.
Saves a lot of water over time.

Stack your dirty dishes in the shower with you. :ttoung:

Back When, during a previous water shortage, Johnny Carson was complaining that he couldn’t wash his tennis court.

A guest suggested he wash his car on the court, which was legal, and Carson got a gleam in his eye ...

Again, the problem is in the title, this is not a California law, it is a Regional Bill for SoCal.

Just one more reason the North wants to create a 51st State, so these scum can no longer dictate silly rules on us because they're too incompetent.
The North has the water, I heve over 200 springs on my property flowing into my canyon, two full year aroiund creeks, I live in a moderate rain forest, this is normal in the North State mountains, yet the Marxists in Sac and La want to dictate how we use our water, which they think they own.
There was even talk a couple of years ago over putting water meters on wells here in the North, where many of the wells are nothing more than a Spring Tap, (a pump in a hole in the ground).
They even titled the article like this one, as if it were a done deal, and no one had any say in it.

Let the South punish La, but if they think for a second they'll force this on the north, they're in for a hell of a bloody battle.

Don't fall for titles and assumne they're telling you the truth. Use critical thought, read the article, if you have trouble interpreting it, ask somone for help.
The left relies on people only reading the title and accepting it as a done deal, this is how they get away with shit, they rely on you accepting whatever they throw at us, so when they finally bring it up in the legislature, people just go, OK.

Next time change the title to reflect reality.

I have no problem with comprehension when I read an article.
I just watched the newscast video because 9 out of 10 times the print is just word for word what is in the video.

I guess that I am like a lot of folks who don't live in Cali ... We think that all of you are under the same 'ruling class'?

That's another ploy of the left, video never matches the article either.
