Remember, Jerry Brown had studied to become a Jesuit.  Which probably amounts to Tradition and Management, with a little Bible now and then.

QuoteCalifornia Gov. Jerry Brown (D) says President Trump's stance on climate change demonstrates that he does not appear to fear the "wrath of God" or have any regard for the "existential consequences" of his environmental policies.

"I don't think President Trump has a fear of the Lord, the fear of the wrath of God, which leads one to more humility ... this is such a reckless disregard for the truth and for the existential consequences that can be unleashed," Brown said in an interview on CBS's "60 Minutes," which is set to air on Sunday.

Brown, who studied to become a Jesuit priest prior to entering politics, has been a vocal critic of the Trump administration.

His latest comments come as the southern portion of California battles massive wildfires that in just a few days have damaged thousands of acres of property and destroyed hundreds of buildings.

Trump declared a state of emergency in California, which permits federal assistance to supplement the state and local response to the fires.

Whoa... there Jesuit Jerry...   Trump isn't the one managing the environmental state of California - you blithering idiot.   :tounge:  You are!
If  "the "wrath of God" is falling on anyone because of disregard for the "existential consequences" of his environmental policies." - look in the mirror, you ninny!  It's your whacko environmental policies that prevent the clearing of dead underbrush, controlled burns, proper dam management and soon we'll add vehicular travel.

Trump is trying to "help you out of a mess" - and you're biting the helping hand?   How stupid is that!?!?
More confusing than understanding your weirdness, where in the Bible, or Catholic Church Tradition, can you point to Environmental Policy?
... there is nothing of the sort, pre and post Vatican II, not a single directive.  Commandments according to Jerry Brown...  Follow him at your peril - God doesn't need to judge stupidity, just leave it alone... it'll take care of itself.

Are you kidding me??!!!
The wrath of God and the horrible environmental polices that the Liberals have put in place, I see as the reason Southern California is burning up.
Trump had nothing to do with it.

This would be a good time for Jerry Brown to show the U.S. that California can make it on it's own with out government help.

We could help them experience environmentalist policy NOW.   Stop importing Fossil Fuels, Electricity & Water into California... or put a Tariff on every Gallon & KWH - call it the National Debt Reduction Act... or California Environmentalist Re-education Act.  (some things don't stick unless learned the hard way)

Too rich!   Jerry Brown pushing climate change over environmental change - think about it.

What was California BEFORE irrigation?  Like wild fires are a new thing to a dry climate?   Maybe... just maybe the reason stuff grows is from irrigation, and there wouldn't be so much to burn, if Californians didn't change the entire eco-structure of the state by importing water from other states.

Jerry Brown is saying this is the new "Normal", presiding over the burning of California...?

QuoteGovernor Jerry Brown on Saturday toured Ventura County neighborhoods ravaged by a weeklong wildfire that killed at least one person and destroyed hundreds of homes and other buildings.
At a news conference, the Democrat said drought and climate change mean California faces a 'new reality' where lives and property are continually threatened by fire, at a cost of billions of dollars.
He added that gusty winds and low humidity are continuing and warned that there's a good chance of seeing 'firefighting at Christmas'.

Drought and climate change mean California faces a 'new reality'...?  What was California before irrigation?  The importation of Water, Electricity & Fossil Fuels completely altered the landscape of California, Global Warming has nothing to do with it, it's called "Progress."

Where I live, it's hard to find a tree +100yrs old.   Which is no big deal, they grow like weeds here.  The USDA asked us "when" we're going to clear cut our land, recently.   Good idea, it's better to get some $ for them, because once they die and fall over, they become tinder for fires and completely worthless to us.  My neighbor has quite a big stand of timber, he's probably thinking the same thing, cut it or else.  Clear cut, and scrape all the brush into piles to burn.  Can't do that in California, but, in Virginia, we don't get these forest fires - maybe because we're better at environmental management.

IMO... the 'new reality' in California is understanding Eco-idiots are hell-bent on destroying the livelihood of the state, a slow, irreversible  death-spiral.  Unfortunately, they'll be the first to move somewhere else and duplicate the same mistakes again.  Plus, there is no equiliberalism of Climate, regardless of where you live - it's always changing.  Just when you think living near the ocean gives you a near perfect 75 degrees year round, in comes a tidal wave or hurricane.  We get ice storms in Virginia, making a mess of trees, knocking out power, closing roads - we suck it up, and move on.

Californians completely altered the state of California & created the environment for massive fires, President Trump and imaginary Global Warming - sorry, we don't buy that crock of crap, Jerry.

These fires are not new. They have always happened due to the nature of the climate and vegetarian growth. The difference is people build in fire prone areas and liberal politicians do not allow them to clear fuel from fires from around the developments.
