Amash also wrote that impeachment does not require "probable cause" has been committed, but rather that "simply requires a finding that an official has engaged in careless, abusive, corrupt or otherwise dishonorable conduct."

Dear Justin

You can make these claims and they will get you invited to those DC cocktail parties hosted by has beens such as Jay Carney. Other than that you are done. Know your role.

Who in their right mind would attack a President with Trump's record? This is just pure lunacy, then claim he might run as the LIBertarian candidate against Trump?
He just keeps digging deeper and deeper down in the septic.

What is the rest of the story on this guy? It is a two day story and I am not interested in doing a lot of research on this guy.

He was elected as a strong Conservative, problem is, he's a LIBertarian, his views are totally fucked up. OK, not really, if our Founding Fathers were alive, they'd like his steadfastness on the Constitution, problem is, he's the only one in the party. He hates Trump raising the debt to fix problems inflicted by decades of leftists in both party's for Eg.

I've talked about this, saying Trump is no conservative, but rather a Patriot. Amash wants Trump to be a Conservative when it comes to a strict application of Constitutional law.
Problem is, it is going to cost trillions of dollars to fix the damage done by Marxists. That's just one example, there's also the use of EO's and the list goes on and on.
I think it may have something to do with his father and religion, both parents came from the Middle East in the late 50s, from a region that suffered under religious law, so his parents come here and join what I assume is the Catholic religion, his father coming from a culture where the man is the leader in all aspects of life, lead the family with an iron hand when laying down the law over Right and wrong, and Justin is applying these ideals to our govt.

See, this is why I said his views are kind of fucked up, he is trying to adhere to a Constitution that has been abused for decades, wanting to tie Trump's hands when he is the perfect guy to fix the problem.
I know this is a bit convoluted, but that's the best I can do.
I wish both the house and Senate was packed to the brim with people just like Justin Amash, but it's not. Had it been since our inception, we wouldn't even be having a discussion about a tiny Fed govt.

Anyway, Trump is the man we need right now and if it takes running up the debt to fix the damage inflicted by the left, so be it, and using the same rules the left used in trying to dismantle our Republic is what Amash is against. Does this make sense?

Quite frankly I have grown a little weary of libertarians. They seem to stand behind that label to be all over the ballpark. Yes, occasionally they will swerve into a conservative position, but contradict themselves in the next breath.

I believe this is the case. He's not going to seek re-election; therefore, his true colors are flying high now.

I don't think even Libertarians can unify under one umbrella, too many of them have differing ideas as to what it means to be one.
I like Amash, I love the fact that he stands by his convictions, but that's the problem, the US is in a make or break position at the moment, so Trump needs all the support he can get.
I'd love to sit down with Amash and explain to him how he can still castigate Trump, but he needs to find common ground and help, not hinder the President.
Think of Amash as a religious fanatic, only he's a fanatic about our Constitution, just like the fanatical leftists who want to destroy it, Amash is on our side.

The reason I understand him is, I used to be just like him, but I'm also pragmatic when it comes to saving this Great Nation.

It seems to me that people like him never accept the fact that we were on the brink of utter ruin. They seem to think we have all the time in the world to reverse the leftist cancer when in reality we were already flatlining when trump came along.
