Those who possess illegal firearms will surely rise to this patriotic call, after Taxachusetts "senator" Ed Markey (Dimwit) decided that fingerprint-identification technology should be placed on all U.S. firearms.

That's FIREARMS, not just pistols.

QuoteSen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) announced Wednesday that he plans to introduce a bill that would require all U.S.-made firearms to be equipped with advanced fingerprint-recognition technology.

Boston Magazine reported that Markey met with members of Mothers for Justice and Equality, Project R.I.G.H.T. and other organizations in his home state to discuss the proposal.

Markey said the Handgun Trigger Safety Act would reduce gun violence by making sure that if a gun falls into the wrong hands, it couldn't be fired.

Markey said companies are already working on the Safe Gun Technology, which uses biometric technology to ensure only the gun owner can fire the weapon.

The Senate fell a few votes short of passing gun reform legislation last year, after the National Riffle Association lobbied hard against reforms that would have increased background checks for gun sales.

Democrats have vowed to continue to push for stricter gun laws to prevent violence in the United States, but some Republicans argue any restrictions violate the Second Amendment.

It's that "some Republicans" that should scare anyone who thinks Big Government is on our side.
