Lawrence O'Donnell back on MSNBC

I saw a few minutes (all I can take) of Lawrence O'Donnell back at MSNBC after a very serious car accident.

I stayed with it because he was complimenting all the people who helped him.  He was very effusive in his praise of the nurses, and since I AM a nurse, I listened!!

He was later "catching up" with his friend, Rachel Maddow.  Fortunately, I didn't hear all of it!!  Rachel starts blabbing about the situation in Iraq, and she scornfully mentions Dick Cheney.  She lost me there!!  He has been out of office for 6 years. 

Iraq is now OWNED by Obama.  They HATE Dick Cheney, and would spit on him.  They even resent that he had a heart transplant. 

They never quit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Glad you're recovering Mr. O'Donnell, otherwise go back under a rock.

I thought he might have a "come to Jesus" moment, or some other transformation due to his brush with death.  He said he had never been hospitalized before..........

I swear those people on and who watch MSNBC can only be talking to each other.  That channel is absolutely unwatchable for any rational human being.

Lawrence O'Donnell has been around for a LONG time.  No LOVE at first sight for me.  I can't stand him.

I came to this board because I got frustrated at a "general" forum that routinely attacked conservative thinking.  All the liberals would routinely gang up on anyone perceived as not agreeing with them. 

So I thought "AHA" when I found this board.  Thinking I could post conservative views and my frustration at what is going on all around us.

And then, for reasons unknown to me, I sometimes feel ATTACKED here.  Maybe I am just naive as to something I am just not part of here. 

I HAVE become pessimistic about the near future.  Not because I want to be, but because I am a realist about what I see going on.  I don't agree with any of it, I wouldn't vote (or not vote) for it, but some things just seem clear for the time being.

I don't understand beating up on people who actually agree with you.  I just don't get it.  Unless you don't want any newer members.

If you feel or felt in any way intimidated or 'beat up' by anything I said, I apologize most humbly and ask for your forgiveness. That is not what I do -- I don't intimidate or bully or threaten or sue to get my point across. That is what liberal/progressives do, and it's the dirtiest thing in the world.

But you should understand that you're in with the adults here. We take these things seriously, and we expect you to do the same. Right now the very future of the republic is quite literally on the line, and that ain't no game.

But looking back over this thread, I don't see where anyone "attacked" you. The way you feel about the posts others make is how you decide to feel. No one here besides you is responsible for your feelings. It is fact that I mean you no harm, and I'd be willing to swear in court that no other commenter in this thread means you harm.

Lib/prog forums always represent themselves as something other than what they are -- usually "centrist" -- because otherwise nobody would ever visit them, and because they really do want you to think the "center" is somewhere WAY out there in left field. The New York Times to this day claims with a straight editorial face to be the "paper of record" that prints "all the news that's fit to print." It is through forums like these that we can expose these bald-faced lies as... bald-faced lies. The "Gray Lady" has been a socialist rag for decades, but it's only now, and largely through forums like this one, that people are coming to realize that fact.

You have been welcomed here because that's what conservatives do -- we say "Welcome!" We may have opinions that differ from yours, and we may express those opinions. That's what we come here to do. But we are not attackers. We say what we feel in straightforward and clear terms, but we do not attack. As time goes by, I think you'll notice that the odd attacker that temporarily slips in unnoticed gets noticed -- and immediately ejected.
