Howard Schultz Shoots Down Liz Warren Attack With Passionate Defense of the American Dream

On Wednesday, former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz shot down an attack from Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who said that because he is a billionaire, he is out of touch with America. He responded with a passionate defense of the American dream.

"Senator Elizabeth Warren said some pretty sharp words about me. She referred to me as a billionaire out of touch with the American people," Schultz said in a short video. He told his rags-to-riches story succinctly and in a patriotic way.

"I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, in Canarsie, in federally subsidized housing, the projects. When I was 7 years old my father, who was a laborer, came home and had a serious accident. He was dismissed from his job, we lost our health insurance. I witnessed the fracturing of the American dream," the former Starbucks CEO began.

Schultz witnessed failure early, but he did not let that define him.

"I started with nothing and I made it in America because of the aspiration, the magnetism, and the spirit of our country," he declared. "I've always believed in the promise of the country. What is the promise of the country? What it is is regardless of your station in life, the color of your skin, your gender, your sexual orientation, whatever it might be, that everyone should have a chance in America."

This statement alone is enough for the democrats to turn on him. It blows their whole narrative that folks need democrats, not themselves as the key to success. Why do they fear Schultz? Because they know there are many who will vote for them just because they are deomcrats. This guy would offer an alternative.

Exactly!!!
He is a Lib, but one that offers an alternative to the Marxists in the Dim party, the guy that many have been hoping would come along.
This will not only assure their defeat in 2020, which I never doubted, but what it will expose is the true divide in the party, when more than half show their support for Schultz.

Maybe he should run as a dem. With a field of around 20 he would garner a lot of support in early primaries. That possibility would really disturb the leftists. Bill Clinton is the poster child for what a perceived "moderate" can do in democrat primaries.

That would be hilarious!
There's still a chance he might just do that, because he's hinted both ways, but is giving the impression he will go with Independent.
Either way, he steals the thunder from all the other losers running. Harris stepped in it in the first days of announcing, Beto is coming off as an idiot kid, Fauchauntis  can't catch a break, and now Schultz is stealing all the lime light.

But take note. Biden is quietly waiting in the wings. This is usually a sign that the real money in the party is working in the dark. They let all the early birds eat each other up, then when the dust settles, making him the inevitable choice.
We've seen this in every election between the two party's, they help the opposing candidates kill one another first, then throw all their money behind their guy.
I think it will be Biden, and that's really the best they can do.

I think her bigger concern is watching all those indicted below her, slowly getting closer to her time to being indicted.
Though, that is incentive for her to run, can't indict a sitting President, as if she has a prayer.

Her prayer just might be in blackmailing enough super delegates to give her the lead. With half the country running (ok not quite half) for president as a democrate, it will be very hard for anyone to gain a majority, super delegates will be huge. If there are any dim voters with any kind if sense left to vote, they will probably turn to Schultz, leaving the nitwits to pick the next dim candidate. Can't wait for the dim convention.

That's always a possibility, considering her bud Fuglosi is in charge.
This will be a riot to watch.
