Smith & Wesson, our two best friends, have smashed their quarterly profit expectations.

Often, the model used to gauge demand for guns is the NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) background check. Although it's not entirely accurate, because most states still allow for a private party sale without going through NICS, it can be a fairly close indicator of new gun purchases. Those numbers alone surged 25% in the past year. Contrary to popular belief, Democrat presidents have been extremely good for the gun industry. The ramped up rhetoric and threats to disarm or write more gun control laws causes gun owners to choose to arm up.

Smith & Wesson realizes this and would like to send their heartfelt thanks to Barack Obama for his demonization of guns. However, he can't take all the credit. After all, there are several anti-gun groups that do an excellent job of pushing out falsified or disingenuous statistics to try to get people to hate guns. It looks like it has backfired, and the American people aren't falling for it.

The current number of guns in America is roughly 350 million, meaning there are more guns than people, and 100 million of those were purchased during Obama's presidency, which is unfortunately not yet over. Join us and Smith & Wesson in giving Barack Obama a big thank you. A vast number of guns in civilian hands is all thanks to his mouth.

That was from my first visit there, so it's probably a parody site. These days, it's 50-50, yes?
