Among the occupational hazards faced by police officers
is exposure to drugs.

A police officer arrested two drug dealers in East Liverpool, Ohio.
The officer wore rubber gloves as he searched the vehicle,
but after he returned to the police station,
he noticed some white powder on his clothes.

He casually brushed it off.  Moments later,
he began having symptoms of fentanyl overdose.
He was quickly given some Narcan.
After being taken to the hospital,
he was given more Narcan.

All together, he needed four doses.
He has recovered fully.
