A father eating a meal with his family shot and killed a robber who threatened him with a gun during a nighttime robbery on Wednesday.
Andres Herrera, 19, walked into a Popeye's on Southeast Military Drive shortly before 9 p.m. according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Investigators said Herrera first approached Carlos Molina, 32, who was eating with his family and demanded his property at gunpoint. Molina, said he had no money because he used it to buy the meal. He then asked if his family could leave.
When the robber agreed, Molina's wife and two of their children left. But two were still in the bathroom.
Herrera then turned toward the counter, pointed the gun and yelled at the manager to stop running.
As Molina's family walked out of the restaurant, police said two more family members walked out of the restroom and the suspect pointed the gun at them.
Molina then quickly pulled his gun out and shot Herrera several times, killing him. Officers said Molina is a licensed handgun owner and they believe he shot in defense of a third person.

 We need more good citizens carrying concealed.
Sigh... cut down in the prime of life, just as he was turning his life around, trying to raise money for college... (sarcasm) :ttoung:
Awwww...poor little punk.
This really upset me. Ammo is expensive, and it's a shame this guy had to waste some. Plus I'm sure he wasn't able to finish his meal.
The parents of the criminal should reimburse him for the ammo, and it would be a nice gesture if they give him some Popeye's gift cards or something.

He only had a 9 round clip. I'm sure if he'd of had more, he'd have used it.

Does anyone remember this case? The family of a teen who was shot and killed by a homeowner, while he was robbing a home.
"You have to understand ... how he gonna get his money to have clothes to go to school? You have to look at it from his point of view."

If I was the home owner, I would have yelled "Hands up! Don't loot!".
LOL! I never did hear if the homeowner was charged or sued.
I could not get over the teen's family defending his actions.
I started a new sticky thread:
