First Grader Sent to Principal for 'Misgendering' Classmate

This area is about 15 miles as the crow flies from me, a rather upscale area, once a sleepy tiny town with a single stop sign, was flooded with 30 year olds, mostly from the Bay Area, hoping to escape the lib lunacy, only to discover, they brought it in on their shoes, like dog shit in the park.

During the first week of school, a first grader at a Sacramento, California, charter school called a boy, who just transitioned to a girl in the last week of school before summer, a boy. Now, she's in trouble.

This latest incident happened at Rocklin Academy, where a kindergarten teacher is already facing backlash for hosting a "transition ceremony" for a 5-year-old boy coming out as a transgender girl. The teacher also led a frank discussion about transgenderism without notifying parents beforehand.

Now, during the first week back to school, a girl in the first grade referred to her transgendered classmate by the wrong name and pronoun, according to Karen England, executive director of the right-leaning Capitol Resource Institute based in Sacramento.

As a result of her crime, the young student was sent to the principal's office.

England explained the situation to The Washington Times:

There was a little girl who had been in class with the little boy all last year. They're in different classes now, but she saw him on the playground yesterday and called him by his name. The little girl was told, "You can't do that, his name is this name," and "You need to call him a 'her.'" Then she was called to the principal's office.

She told Fox News's Todd Starnes the first grader was questioned by the principal for about an hour before it was determined she was not trying to bully the transgender student by calling him by his original name, but instead made an honest mistake.

The little girl, England said, "came home from school upset and crying" over the incident. When the girl's mother called Rocklin to find out what happened, she was told the school has to investigate whenever there's a "pronoun mishap with this biological boy who now claims to be a girl."

"I stressed over and over with the principal that I am all for protecting the rights of [the transgender child], but my children have rights as well," the mother wrote in a letter. "It makes me sad that my daughter felt like she was punished for trying to be kind to the kid."

This first grader's mother isn't the only parent upset with the school's recent actions.

Several parents were outraged when it was discovered that, on the second-to-last day of school, a kindergarten teacher decided to educate students on gender dysphoria. She read two books — "I Am Jazz" and "The Red Crayon" — to the young students, ranging from ages 4 to 8.

Speaking Monday during a school board meeting, several mothers spoke out against the teacher's decision to embrace transgenderism in the classroom — especially without first notifying parents.

"I want [my daughter] to hear from me as a parent what her gender identity means to her and our family, not from a book that may be controversial," one mother said.

Another added, "My daughter came home crying and shaking so afraid she could turn into a boy."

England told Starnes that Alliance Defending Freedom, a right-leaning religious liberty law firm, is investigating the first grader's "mishap" as well as the classroom lesson on transgenderism.

"Our focus is on ensuring that every student's privacy is protected and that parental rights, including the right to be notified that before children are exposed to gender identity teaching, are respected by the school officials," an ADF spokesperson said.
