Title: Cursive Writing Is Making a Much-Needed Comeback in Schools

Cursive writing is looping back into style in schools across the country after a generation of students who know only keyboarding, texting and printing out their words longhand.

Alabama and Louisiana passed laws in 2016 mandating cursive proficiency in public schools, the latest of 14 states that require cursive. And last fall, the 1.1 million-student New York City schools, the nation's largest public school system, encouraged the teaching of cursive to students, generally in the third grade

Those of us that still remember cursive, have already left the workforce.  :laugh:

Those of us that still remember cursive, have already left the workforce.  :laugh:

My kids and grandkids all write in cursive when mail latters, and the young one is now in the workforce as of 2016.

My knuckles still have the scars from the nuns I had in elementary school.

I don't know about your folks' school, but I remember having to write cursive on the chalkboard in front of the class.

I've always had a doctors handwriting, illegible.
