why do you feel the need to do this?

I for one and I'm sure others appreciate his remarks and his service. No need to accuse him of self promotion. If he lived through he has the damn right to mention it.

I would expect remarks like this from a liberal board...NOT a conservative one.

Thank you. Well said, There are already several good Vietnam pages on facebook, and there's the American Legion and VFW posts to sit and drink with other vets of all wars. And believe it or not, we don't just talk about war. We talk football and other stuff. I'm proud to have served along with millions of others. If I want to talk about it, I will. If I want to talk football and other stuff, I will.

One VFW compatriot told me several really interesting stories about scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef of Australia. How wearing nylon stockings protects the skin from some really nasty mean jelly fish whose sting can penetrate thick denim jeans..

Second Amendment, and Vietnam. I just wouldn't presume that you're the only one, or even of a handful, with your experience on this forum. Take all claims of war injuries with a grain of salt. That was kind of the point. Every Disabled vet I know, and I mean every single one, including my own brother shot in Nam, never talked about it.
These are memories most want to forget and move on from.

I guess i'm a little confused here. I would have thought that admins/owners of boards would be courteous to posters because you do want to increase your membership..or that is what I thought would be the goal. I can understand a level of defensiveness to liberals, especially radicals, but a little more consideration for those on the right.

Secondly for a political board, I would have thought that one would want to align with other conservative boards in order to advance the conservative and in these cases the Trump agenda.

Guess I had that all wrong.
