The health insurance I've been buying the past 6 years is as good as, and in some respects better than what I'll be getting when I start Medicare next month.  It certainly costs me less than what Medicare will.  If I had a choice, I would NOT go with Medicare...
You do have options. My Medicare bill is murder, especially since I don't even use it.

You mean I DON'T have to go with Medicare???

IN the US, when you turn 65, you are REQUIRED to sign up for Medicare Part A, Hospitalization.  The other parts of Medicare (Parts B an D) are not required if you are still working for a company that provides employer health care coverage. Note also that once you sign up for Medicare part A you are not allowed to make tax-free contributions to a tax-free HSA (Health Savings Account) anymore (this happened in 2018 I think).

I can also tell you that Medicare part B premiums have the potential to have surcharges and penalties applied depending on circumstances (how much you earned 2 years ago, how long you waited to sign up for Part B after you were eligible, etc.).  I can also tell you that many state run health plans that come with state retirements can be a good Medicare supplemental Insurance as well.

I would recommend that you reach out to a financial advisor, Insurance agent, or someone who is versed in the details of Medicare and supplemental Medicare coverage for guidance on how to make these decisions.

"I would recommend that you reach out to a financial advisor, Insurance agent,"

Excellent advice. In my 47 years in the insurance business I saw too many cases where folks tried to DIY and found out you do not need an agent UNTIL - you need an agent.

I don't know about stickying a thread for two years about Dims running for the WH.
How about we sticky it in MSM Distraction?
With what we're finding out about the media I think, just my opinion, that a forum just titled THE MEDIA would be good for the front page of forums.

Yuriy the Loader

I just saw in Tucker's program a fragment of Nancy Pylosi, who has a rainbow bracelet on her arm, which now symbolizes homosexual aspirations.

I must say that homosexuals are dear to my heart, because they are not my competitors.

Lots of attractive women would prefer Jean Mare or Patrick Stewart to me if they loved women.

If you want to have sex in the anus, no problem, have it. And leave me those who have a sweet vagina from birth.

But, for some reason, American lovers of the same sex are all socialists as one. As if they do not know that in the countries of the Socialist orientation, homosexuality is not welcomed. It is so discouraged that for the recognition of the very fact that you are a homosexual, in the USSR, for example, you were sentenced to 2-3 years in prison.

A real prison, with bandits and murderers in the same barracks. And with the tacit permission of the camp authorities, to rape and beat the unfortunate supporters of same-sex love.

So much so that very few of them lived to see their release ... unless, of course, they were not used by the prison authorities themselves.
