Why do we need religion?

Another side effect of losing religion is knowing your neighbors.  100 years ago most people went to church, they talked, communicated, knew each other, and had a mass network or real people.  As more and more don't go to church we lose that neighborhood network and there is nothing to replace it.

Very true!  AND devastating to our spiritual health.

We find that we have good rapport with our Christian neighbors but non-christian are not interested in social interaction with anyone..... even fellow unbelievers in the neighborhood.   They are all socially isolated.
