More people believe in satan than they do in God.

More people believe that God is not interested in their lives.

The only way to know God is to read his Word.

Get on it.

It isn't that most Americans have moved to a New Age view of God (10% hold that belief), some kind of polytheistic view (a mere 4% hold to that view), or even atheistic beliefs (only 6% of Americans hold a traditionally atheistic view). It's that Americans have either moved towards agnosticism (a whopping 20% of Americans now believe "a higher power may exist, but nobody knows for certain," up from just 1% thirty years ago!) or towards a twisted, distorted, highly unbiblical view of the God of the Bible.

According to this survey, 44% of Americans believe "Jesus Christ sinned while on earth." That is not what Scripture teaches.

Here's what I mean. According to this survey, 44% of Americans believe "Jesus Christ sinned while on earth." That is not what Scripture teaches: "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21). Also, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15).

You teach your children about safety.  You must also teach them morals and ethics and God's word Just like you cannot trust your childrens' education to the schools.  You have NO idea what they are teaching your kids.  DON"T let them do that.

Parents—I want to speak to you. You absolutely cannot abdicate your role as the primary spiritual influence in your children's lives to the church. It is not the church's responsibility to raise your children in the training and instruction of the Lord—it's yours. Don't leave it to the church! The church—the body of Christ—is to come alongside and help, encourage, and edify you in your job; it's not a replacement for you! Get into God's Word with your children. Answers Bible Curriculum is actually a wonderful resource to use in your home as well in your family devotions or Bible in homeschool.

This survey from Barna should sober all of us and spur us into action to ensure that coming generations know of the glory of our God—the one true God, the God of the Bible.

I agree with you on the CJ (shortened it ).  Too many don't study the word or have any guidance.  The lack of morality in world is because Satan is well and active.  We must, as parents and grandparents, reach out and encourage the current and next generation to have a relationship with God.

I have done quite a few Bible studies in my time but this last year+ doing them with my sisters (they live 2,000 miles away) has opened my eyes to a deeper understanding of God and my relationship with him through Christ.

One of my best days as a parent was when my son thanked me for all those Sundays I drug his butt to church. He hopes one day his daughter will say the same to him.

Agree...its up to the parent to provide religious education.  One of the first and best ways is by example.  Children are so formative when they are young.  Looking back on my life I can see where I failed because I was more concerned about self (the materialistic and secular world).  But in our golden years (for some) you can correct your mistakes and by example make an effective attempt to lead your kids and grandchildren.

One thing is for certain...one must go to God, he is not going to come to you.  Because we have free will, the devils and demons are always there to push us away from God.  It is so obvious in the world we live in and it is progressively getting worse.

I agree...
It's sad isn't it? The left fought all throughout the 60s to set the stage that we didn't need God in our face, that we needed to tone it down so as not to offend the nonbelievers.
All the while acknowledging that God was the most important issue for cohesiveness, we still shouldn't force it on others. that was the subtle subliminal message all throughout Hollyweird and commercials.

These Marxists know, in order to get to the end of the game, you have to play for years by the current rules, all the while tweaking them to fit your end goal.
It's been just 50 short years and look at the destruction of our culture. I see change in a good way, whether we accomplish it will be up to the next generation wanting a simpler, less cluttered life and less leftist BS in their faces.

Sounds like you grew up the same time I did Solar...back when Democrats were true Democrats.  Life was good back then...but I suppose our parents thought the same thing while we were growing up.  Some of the Democrats back in the 50's 60's would be shocked at what their party supports now.  They left has morphed into a ugly, destructive group of humans.  The value their wants instead of their needs....

Probably, I was born in West Sac. Loved the State, cleanest and best roads in the country, no crime to speak of, a kid could walk through town without a worry, knowing if he stepped out of line, an adult would call them on it.
Back then, Sac used to close by 6:00pm and everyone was home with their families no sky scrapers, just the Capitol Bldg could be seen on the skyline. Once you left town, it was a long drive to the next town, now Modesto to Chico is one long city and nothing but houses and mini malls sprawled out on what was once beautiful rich farmland. Makes me sick!
I moved to the Sierra to escape it over 30 years ago, they followed me.

LOL I can remember our first streel light being put in when we move into town.  Also our first telephone on the wall that was a 6 party line.  If you stepped out of line the hole town was told with one phone call.

that's something I have not heard in some time. When my folks died a few years ago, I went to get the phone turned off, found out they were still on a party line, no one else was on it, but they were listed as being on one. the kid on the phone I was talking to, had no idea what one was.

The ranch I worked on had one, and the phone was the old crank type, they saw no reason to change it out as long as it was a party line.
I talked to an operator kid sometime back and explained why the phone numbers were prefaced with two letters. He was so excited to hear it, he couldn't wait to share this new found knowledge.
Apparently not one person knew why they used the coding system at the switching station he worked at, which employed nearly a 1000 at the time.

For those who don't know, the letters abbreviated the township you lived in. I lived in Carella Gardens, so the phone company assigned most of South Sacramento with Ga1, or 421 depending on what part of Carella Gardens you lived in.
Police used it as well to help narrow a call to a precinct when calling for help.

Back in my day we did not have a phone book   you gave the phone a crank and the phone operator ask who you would like to talk with, then down the line they would ask for a number. If you did not know the number you just gave a name.

Take it as a compliment that pretty much everyone is in agreement with the OP.
Yeah, I hate it when it happens too, so sometimes you need to pull it back on topic, but if no one has an issue with the subject, they simply don't reply.
There is no magic, but like many authors, they'll write something to spur on debate, add a question to the topic to get people to reply.
