Israel is God's chosen people. After Christ, unearned salvation (grace) is available to all (including Gentiles ... non-Jews) who accept Jesus as both Savior and Lord - salvation is the forgiveness of wrongs against God and Lordship submission of our lives to him in obedience. As Hoofer points out in another post, the Lord chooses to deal with us individually and personally.

The culture is still relevant though. The laws of nature may not have the same hold on us under Christ, but I believe that we can be under grace but still face the consequences of the wrongs that we or others do.

I was reading Deuteronomy today - Ch. 28 and 29. The words give me pause about how serious the fight against the evil in our culture is. The consequences of our nation under God. Excerpts ...

"... Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. he will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you. ... Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you. Even the most gentle and sensitive man among you ill have no compassion on his own brother or the wife he loves or his surviving children, and he will not give to one of them any of the flesh of his children that he is eating. It will be all he has left because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege of all your cities. The most gentle and sensitive woman among you - so sensitive and gentle that she would not venture to touch the ground with the sole of her foot - will begrudge the husband she loves and her own son or daughter the after birth from her womb and the children she bears. For she intends to eat them secretly during the siege and in the distress that your enemy will inflict on you in your cities. ... Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. Then the Lord will give you and anxious mind, eyes weary with longing and a despairing heart. ... There, you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you. "

That's what the consequences of a nation against God looks like - the reaping from disobedience sown. He is loving ... but also righteous. Again, I believe that many can be under grace, but the penalty for the disobedience can and will go to this depth. So fight on Conservative Christians - the enemy abroad and within our country is trying to take the soul of our country. We don't want to go where this passage describes. And if you aren't sure you possess the grace of Christ's salvation ... seek it out with all your being.
