3,000 Churches in California Vow to Defy Newsom's Authoritarian Coronavirus Lockdown Order and Reopen

A network of 3,000 California churches, representing 2.5 million members, plans to defy Gov. Gavin Newsom by resuming in-person services, as pastors insist they've been left out of the process.

California Church United pastors announced Thursday in front of a Fontana megachurch that they plan to open May 31, instead of waiting until stage 3, when gyms, movie theaters, and other venues open, the San Bernardino County Sun reports.

May 31 was chosen because it is Pentecost, marking the birth of the Christian Church when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and followers of Jesus, according to Christian tradition, fitting for a "rebirth" of services.

"Our churches are part of the answer, not part of the problem," said Danny Carroll, senior pastor at Water of Life Community Church. "We're an essential part of this whole journey and we've been bypassed ... kicked to the curb and deemed nonessential."

Matt Brown, pastor of Sandals Church in Riverside, blasted Newsom for deeming churches nonessential during the pandemic: "We are torn between caring for and loving our people and his order.

"He didn't ask us. He overstepped and he's overreached," Brown said. "And he needs to step back and he needs to declare that the church is an essential part of what we do as Americans, as what we do as Californians.

Exactly!!! It may be Ca, but we're not La or the Bay Area and the people will not tolerate their bull shit any longer!
This is a preview for Nov. We may have a lot of illegals soon to be citizens, but the majority are Christians and they don't like oppressive govt interfering with their religion either.

Local media will only mention it in passing. Yes, the left now owns all media in the state. I'll do my best.

Of the100 largest churches in California four are in the Inland Empire. One in Riverside one in Corona one in San Bernardino and one in Victorville. The largest of those is The Rock Church in San Bernardino with an average weekly attendance of 14,550 worshippers and is about an 11 minute drive from my location. The high desert Church in Victorville is about 40 miles away with 6,400 worshippers, and the other two are between 15 and 20 minutes, 1 in Corona one in Riverside. I'm thinking maybe I'll head over to The Rock Church on Sunday and see how it goes, God willing. I'm not sure if I will actually attend as I have an aversion for megachurches as they are self promoting rather than promoting the word of God. They seem to have developed either a Prosperity Doctrine or a hot tub theology where they teach you how to feel good without being good.

There is no question in my mind that the Wuhan virus, the liberal attacks on law enforcement, the liberal attacks on border enforcement, the riots and the chaos that liberal Democrats embrace, support, encourage and finance are being used by God to draw people to Him.

There is a great deal of uncertainty, chaos, insecurity and questions surrounding the things that are happening today. Certainly the media is supporting and fueling all of the hysteria in hopes that China Joe will be elected. Instead of this working as the Democrats hope, it is pushing people to realize how vulnerable they are and how people may or may not know what will happen if and when they die.

Is your crazy governor turning liberals into conservatives?  I don't expect California to fully flip this election, but I can't imagine this governor isn't turning millions of "moderate" liberals to vote red this election. Same with New York and Michigan. We are fed up with Gretchen
