#neverliberal #nevermarxist
Do you personally know any atheists who aren't militant? I don't. Penn Jillette is one, but everyone else seems to push their "faith" harder than any Christian or Muslim--yet they still deny that it's a religion!
I personally know 5 who aren't millitant. If you did not know them for 10 to 15 years you would not even know there were. One even build a church for his wife in a small town. On the condition it was for the whole community use. He paid for the land and for the church to be build, that way no one could control it's use.
Since when do we have a Religion Forum? I thought that topic was verboten here?
It was just a plan to get MFA to post more...
It worked!
If I'm not mistaken, Darth?
I've been one for over the last 55 years, having been raised a Lutheran for 17 years. But I distinguish between Atheist and atheist. For the atheist, it's a matter of choice, while the Atheist feels a need to proselytize. But, as an atheist, I don't. A person should be free to choose whatever religion to follow, or none at all.
Agreed. I don't think I've met a militant athiest..........although I guess they exist.I'm perplexed by the people that actually take time out of their lives to file formal complaints, about the presence of a cross or a manger scene in the town square, or on public property. I don't see how those things can be construed as the government establishment of religion. By this line of thinking, all crosses should be removed from Arlington National Cemetary. I think that it could almost constitute the government establishment of non-religion. A dangerous path, in my opinion.I've never felt threatened or scared by the presence of a Manorah, or any other religious object................regardless of the religion.
The people who do these kind of things are what is commonly known as Attention Whores.
