Boycott Hallmark...

Don't get me wrong as a woman I love Hallmark movies (even the mystery ones) and now in the height of the Christmas movie season they pull this...

The Hallmark Channel, which bills itself the "country's leading destination for quality family entertainment," apologized Sunday for removing an ad from Zola.com that features two brides kissing and has reinstated it after backlash from gay rights advocates.

https://www.christianpost.com/news/one-million-moms-urge-boycott-after-hallmark-channel-reinstates-ad-of-kissing-brides.html

I had already dumped Lifetime channels movies when they just had to throw in the obligatory "gay" couple on the side.  I chose not to watch and that is my right.  The difference is Lifetime channel has never billed itself as family entertainment but Hallmark has.

If homosexuals want story lines about their lifestyle then they can definitely go to Lifetime or OWN.  Why do they need my channel as well?

I have yet to see this commercial air but I do DVR most of the movies and fast forward through the commercials anyway.  So my dilemma is whether I should boycott?  It would surely free up my time quite a bit.

I have signed the petition at the link above.  Toy

Never had much to do with them, anyway, outside the Occasional Greeting Card.
I do not do well with movies.  I few are worth watching, but I am more suited to sports, documentaries and Game Shows.

Hallmark channel really does cater to women.  Instead of days reading our romance novels we can get our "fix" in 2 hours...  Toy

I watch Chick Flicks with my wife and have done that for 37 years.  I don't mind, if it is a well produced film.  However, most movies these days, have lousy acting.  Graphics are better than ever, and Soundtracks can be the Highlight of the movie.  But, the acting in most movies reminds me of the New SNL.  Not funny, predictable and not well acted.
Remakes usually suck wind.  Sequels of sequels abound, and most are Detritus.  Nah, I'd rather watch Battlebots, or some such nonsense.

There are so many shows/channels I don't watch.   Hallmark will be a big one for me to give up.  Toy

We dumped them too, along with Chickfila and a myriad of other corporations that don't rise to the level of American culture..

It's not just Hallmark. At least I haven't seen any gay/lesbian relationships in their movies. Unlike primetime shows, which seem to be inundating us with man to man and woman to woman kissing and bedroom scenes, which, sorry, but I wish they would stay out of my living room. A Million Little Things now has one of the kids expressing gayness and all the adults are encouraging him. I don't care what people choose to do in privacy, but I really don't want to watch.

I'm with you LadyBug.  I really don't watch much of anything off the the regular networks anymore.  Shows I used to enjoy were ruined for me.  Toy

They have pushing agendas for a while: movies, TV shows, and companies/commercials.

I remember an ex-girlfriend watching some type of Hallmark, Lifetime, or something along those lines movie. There were two young girls on the screen. I remember walking in the room and saying the only thing that need to happen is for them to kiss, and sure enough they did. That was 15-16 years ago.

The new Roseanne/Connors was a lefties dream: practically a boy becoming trans, black kid, and David turned into a hippie. Did they check all the boxes?

I swear: every commercial has an agenda on it. It's mostly an anti-white undertone.
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Finally someone else says what I have been for over ayear. If one watched TV one would think every couple is mied race,  gay, or transgender. Whites have all be disappeared from the landscape.  Subliminal mssaging at it's worst. This is what young children watching TV are being exposed to as if it's an everyday ocurrence.

TV One is a black channel so of course there isn't any white people. It's expected from them and BET. They both have their own black movies, shows, music, and culture but they still whine about no blacks in entertainment. They whine about not getting an award, but where is that BET/Soul Train Award for a white artist?

Vice is worse. The have a Cop Blocking show.

TLC has I Am Jazz.

R.U.Paul's Drag Race.

We can go on and on.

I loved the new Rosanne show.

The moment they fired her, they were dead to me.
