I cam across this in one of the blogs I follow...  What do you think?  I have not gone to a "church" in quite a few years.  I still watch sermons online, do a bible study, pray, and am ok with that.  Toy

Dear Pastors, Apostles, Bishops, Spiritual Leaders,
#FlattenTheCurve
Close ALL churches.
Cancel in person service.
Close the doors.
Lock it down.
Have service online.
Send out scriptures by text.
Open your window and pray OutLoud so others will hear you.
Do it.
Do it now.
I am begging you to help us to #FlattenTheCurve..
Please understand that I know what this means. I grew up in the church my dad was a deacon and then he became a pastor. My mom taught Sunday School and spent Saturday evenings pressing our hair and ironing our dresses so that we would be ready to go as soon as my father was ready. I spent as much time in the church as I spent in my own home.
I am a Christian. I am the daughter of a pastor; the wife of a deacon and a Christian School principal; a former Sunday School teacher; the daughter-in-law of a pastor; the niece of a Bishop, another a pastor, two prophets, and one apostle. When I traveled through Kenya, I only took two books, one of which was the Bible. I have gone to church when I was sick, pregnant, too tired to barely stand, and when I could barely swallow or speak. I went to church, when I was in college and I questioned whether or not I even believed. When I was sick, I would tell myself that it was better to be in the Lord's house then at home. I would tell myself to stay away from people thinking what harm could I do by going. I love going to church. I love the worship and my church family. It is my safe place AND Yet, today I am begging you to close your church.
I am calling on All of You to Close your doors —do not leave this up to your members because for so meany of us, if the doors of the church are open, we will come. We will justify it. We will commit to staying away from each other. We will smile and tell ourselves that it is better to be there than at home. We will be in the same space with our older members, who will come because if the doors are open then everything is ok. We will be in the same space with our younger members, who will come because it's "not" impacting their demographic. We will be in the same space as children, who had to come because their parents came. We will be in the same space as visitors, who were looking for a church and since we were the only church open, they came. We will pass programs and offering plates and germs.
So I need you to act.
Close the doors.
Cancel in-person service.
Have church online.
Lead your members in best practices.
Just don't leave it up to me because if you do, I might come.
Signed,
Kaye Whitehead, a believer in the gospel and best and safe practices

and this was one of the responses...

Please don't become angry for my comment but the spirit filled church was put here for such a time as this. Each person should follow their own spirit and use wisdom however, the day we are living in is bringing out desperation in people. That is when they most need the ministry of the church. What the devil has meant for harm God will use for good. The glorious church is on the horizon and the time has come when the works we saw Jesus do even greater works will we as believers do. In the last days perilous times will come. It's in these times when the body of believers will need our strengthening the most to to reach a lost and dying world. Do not fear. Use wisdom, follow peace and listen to how God is leading you individually. He may tell some to stay home. Others He May lead to go and pray for the sick and not forsake the gathering of ourselves together.
I pray, not wish because I have a God not a Genie.

Church is just another venue with people you should avoid for now due to the situation.

You know lefties are all for having no "white-mans, Christian religion".
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.

This absolutely needs to be put before SCOTUS.

No governmental agency has the right to control ANY religion.

Not Jew, not Catholic, not Muslim, not Wiccan.

NONE - NEVER

If they wish to conduct services, with even thousands all together, that is their God-Given Right.
