First off, what passes for a "prophet" nowadays is questionable at best. In the old days prophets were either absolutely correct 100% of the time or they were killed. Many call themselves "prophets" today with little or no accuracy to their prophesies. It's whatever makes them money, fame, etc. rather than actually being a prophet of God. Scripture tells us that not everyone has the gift of prophesy however, few actually read scripture to know that.

I will live with Jesus for eternity, He shed His blood for my sins on the cross, completely paying the penalty for *MY* sins - I chose His free gift of Salvation. 

So, like an espoused, waiting to meet this Person, face-to-face, I decided to "read up" on Him, and get to know how He acts, thinks, what's expected, etc.  I simply read / listen to the Bible, as I'm cruising around in my service truck.  I don't need second hand knowledge from whoever, when I can go right to the source... they might "add" or "leave out" something they think isn't that important, but God wanted me to know.   I want to KNOW as much as I can, before I meet Him - well, at least recognize Him, instead of fall for a FAKE.

Since the Holy Spirit is living IN me, making intercession with God, He also opens my mind & spirit to understanding the Word of God, who & how to pray for others, and the trouble arising around us.  Clear thinking in these times, is more important than spontaneous reactions to every hope or horror the MSM props up around us.  IMO, the MSM loves to "bait" us, just for a sound bite they can take out of context.  Unlike some radio talk show host who quotes the first part of John 14, I understand the REST of the verse & it's context.
14:1-3 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

I also believe I am NOT a prophet - but, the Rapture of the Church is so soon, I probably will not die, but be suddenly changed, in a split second, and forever be with the Lord.
