You are the one that's missing the point.

It isYOU who created your God as the the Three Os thus being the ULTIMATE in all things .....that's YOUR "strawman" .....which YOU by your creation deem to be PERFECTION.

Unfortunately for you, by creating the "GOD" as being "perfection"......you then have to contradict your "PERFECTION"......because if EVERYTHING woulda been PERFECT then we, the HUMANITY, who created "GOD" would have a "PERFECT" LIFE .....which we don't......HENCE: the inherent paradox which is unresolvable no matter how much you babble about FREE WILL etc.

Conclusion: The "GOD" of the Organized Religions of the World is an unresolvable paradox.

No surprise that the GREATEST MINDS in the HISTORY of Mankind UNANIMOUSLY came to the same conclusion:It is IMPOSSIBLE to prove the existence or nonexistence of "GOD".

Call the Chairmen of any reputable University in the World (and that even includes some of the Religious ones) and they will ALL confirm my statement above.

I've said what there is to say on this subject.

There isn't anything more.......as far as I'm concerned.
God did not, nor did we create a Utopia. How hard is that to understand?
I said we were given free will to venture forward as a specie, we were given the ability to experience life and all that entails, from hate to love.
Can you imagine just how boring Utopia would actually be?
That's why were here, we wanted more than  just existing, we wanted to feel, we wanted pleasure, but to understand pleasure, you have to have pain.

You really are bereft of a spiritual life.

The nice thing about it, I can believe in God and no one can take that away from me.

IF the time comes and there is no God, what have I losted.   On the other hand if we are right and your wrong.

You completely forget that we are a fallen creation, and yes, He knew we would fail.

As to proving the existence of God, of course you can't, if you can prove that something exists, you don't need faith to believe.  That will not happen because faith will always be a part of salvation.

I think the fact that were here is proof enough God exists.
There is no way in Hell we could have created life on our own, it required far more than an accident.

In the face of all the evidence to the positive, people still want to deny the obvious.

God supposedly created all of us.

Supposedly God is Omniscient. When he created us God already KNEW the results of his creation before hand.

Even if God supposedly gave us FREE WILL.......he already KNEW how each of us would turn out and what fate we had....

So WTF did God, in creating these innocents (with free will) and the EVIL BUTTHOLE (with free will) also created by God......WHY DID GOD CREATE BOTH INNOCENTS AND THE PSYCHO (with free will) WHEN HE KNEW THE RESULTS BEFORE HAND ....EVEN IF THE PSYCHO HAD FREE WILL.....God KNEW what the Psycho would do ?!?

Do you think God should restrict our free will "in certain cases"?  For example, if you try to murder someone, should he convert the bullets into smoke in mid-air?

If you think this is a good idea, then where do you draw the line?  What about theft?  Should he prevent it?  What about lust?  Should he prevent that too?

At what point does he step in and limit the consequences of free will while allowing free will...and...is that really free will if he does so?

Please seriously consider how you would answer these questions and the implications before you respond...

QuoteAnd, I'm not trying to prove God doesn't exist. I AM DESPERATELY TRYING TO FIND A PLAUSIBLE REASON TO BELIEVE IN HIM !!!

Are you?  If he doesn't fit in your box would you still believe in him given evidence?  What if he actually did have a specific plan here?  I'm not saying that he did, and neither do I believe that he did, but what if he did?

My Mom used to say, when looking of one of her pretty hollyhocks, how could anyone deny that there is a God?  One who could make something so lovely?  I'm a gospel music pianist and I fully understand the words to the song, "Consider the Lillies".  It takes the simpliest of things or examples to reveal His handiwork and presence.  These things we so often dismiss as just something that has and will always be there.  Me?  I love music but I wonder about the intelligence that He has given to us as He will, to be capable to do and learn and build whatever we want.  Why would we spend one minute doubting Him or trying to do things that weren't good and grasp things that are bad?  Why think on evil?  To be sure, you will pattern your life after whatever it is that you hold onto so why not look up to the author of your life and your salvation if you just believe He is there to guide you?  He proves Himself to me over and over.  Nothing I could ever do would mean anything to Him, or that my goodness could be explained by my actions.  He is looking for the ones who will believe and accept His finished work and letting Him guide their lives.  It ain't easy either.  If you consider Him to be your friend, you have to talk to Him daily, have that conversation that is between real friends, telling Him your joys, heartaches, fears, cares of every sort.

Here's my question: Why do people that don't believe in God, feel so compelled to eliminate him or blame him?

After all, something that doesn't exist, can niether be eliminated or blamed. Nor can it be a threat.

Seems to me, that they are more delusional than the people that believe in God. At least we know that God is real. In the meantime, they are filing lawsuits to get rid of something that's not there.

Why wouldn't the intellectual elite just humor us hayseeds? Instead they exhibit fear.

The assault on God is the equivalent of a Christian assault on santa claus. Which we wouldn't consider.

That's right lefties. Live in terror of everything you don't understand or believe in. Call on government to make the boogieman go away.....................make everything feel better.

My mother died when I was young. I was 17 when she died, after 3 years of fighting cancer.

I was so busted up that I prayed to both the devil and God. I just wanted to feel better.

I guess my Mother taught me right.

The devil came calling.

God made himself available. It's a lesson I will never forget.

God will never force you to do anything, nor will the devil. Your choice.
