Listen to God's Truth
For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths (2 Timothy 4:3-4, ESV).

There will come a time when people will not only reject the truth; they will refuse to even hear it. We can see this happening today. And it's because people have what the Apostle Paul calls "itching ears."

"Itching ears" are eager to hear every new idea, every new theory, and every wild thought, no matter how fanciful or farfetched it may be. They want preachers who will tell them what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear.

But Jesus said throughout His ministry on earth, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear" (Matthew 11:15; Mark 4:9, ESV). Because, first and foremost, we're called to hear God's Word. Everything else must align with it. And if it doesn't align with God's Word, it's a lie.
I pray, not wish because I have a God not a Genie.

Throughout history empires have come and gone. And the earmarks of their decline are always similar in nature, following a certain pattern. In the latter phases of this digression, it is the cultural bond  that becomes compromised; allowing fo all kinds cultic beliefs to permeate society, thereby splintering it into factions. Hence, the fulfilling of another Scripture begins to take shape; "a house divided against itself cannot stand."
