I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters; for then you would have to go out of the world. But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so–called brother if he should be an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves. (1 Corinthians 5:9–13)
So Hillary say's she is a Christian. We are to judge her actions. But nobody can judge whether a person is going to hell. That is for the Lord only.
I find this thread annoying. It is meant to get Christians to engage in judgment. I have known lots that are like snakes in the grass waiting to pounce. I believe that Jesus is full of mercy and grace and all have access to forgiveness of sin through the blood that He shed on the cross. He is willing that none perish! None, including you. We have free will to accept or reject the free gift of salvation.
Bet you are going to cry now that I was proselytizing you. Wah!
Completely agree, that is the purpose of the question, "comparing themselves to themselves, they are not wise."
The standard is Jesus Christ, it's His house, His heaven, when did He say we can pass ultimate judgment on another?
If the thief on the cross trusted Christ to save him, moments before he died, isn't there HOPE for every living person?
