If God can grant you anything, can HE do this?

Grant you a second life on earth? While I'm not trying to make god look like a genie, I'm sure you've heard you can wish for anything you want in heaven. After all God is Father TIme.

I'd wish to be born again in 1995, because a favroite movie of mine and vehicle model came out that year. While I would be born in the Clinton era, it would be worth it. So what do you guys think? If that desire could be fulfilled what year would you like to be born in?

Yawn

Of course He CAN, but that's not His Plan:

"It is appointed unto all Men, ONCE to die, after that the JUDGEMENT"

Few today take to heart the GIFT of this ONE life as well as the RESPONSIBILITY.

Would the child in the womb, "knowing" he has to leave that world, ask his Creator to give him another chance to live in the only world he is familiar with? There is a PROMISE of a much greater LIFE for His children--those begotten with the Holy Spirit.  Why hold on to a body He calls "mortal" and "corrupt" (as in prone to decay and degradation), when He offers a chance to live REAL Life as HE lives Life.

LIFE is about GROWTH. Just as we pass from the darkness and confinement of the womb to this life of light and beauty, so shall we pass on to an even greater Life--Life as HE lives it. It's shallow thinking to want to cling to the familiar when so much greater is being offered.

Spend your time seeking TRUTH, not your own way or your own silly ideas of how this life SHOULD be. People have their own "Idea Babies" and would rather nurture and grow these false ideas. They would rather create a god in their own image rather than seek TRUTH and discover WHO their Creator REALLY is

If a Man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed life I will wait until my CHANGE comes. You will call, and I will answer thee...

I like what Yawn posted, but to play along with the Genie idea, I would ask to be born on the West coast just before man set foot on it, around 250.000 years BC
Hell, even 3 million years ago, make sure man isn't here yet.
I would love to be the first to see the land in all it's wondrous glory, and merely survive off the land.
That would make for a happy solar.

I would love to see a mountain range 30 thousand feet high, painted in snow year around, with pristine creeks and waterfalls a mile long.
But I'm happy with where God put me, life has been the greatest gift ever, no complaints.

God can do what ever he likes but I have to remember that it is his choice not mine, praying for something does not guarantee you will get it.  Ask that you be made aware of Gods will and that he gives you the strength to carry it out.
The Golden Rule is the only rule we need.

The real question is, can God create a rock so heavy that even he can't lift it?

No. He is the Master of all physical Law.

It's good to know that God is not all-powerful.

And you come to this conclusion, how?

Certainly, God could make a rock so large he could not lift it. As God, he is also omniscient so he knows not to.  Maybe that lead to the saying that
"God presents no obstacle to man that man cannot overcome."

No, he cannot. HE is the author of the physical laws that govern our universe. Those laws apply to the PHYSICAL creation. They mean NOTHING to Him. Matter, mass, time, space & speed (as in the speed of light as the limiting factor in our universe) just don't apply to the spirit realm.

It's a silly question promoted as wisdom by those who don't understand the nature of God or the Spirit world.

You just said that God cannot do something. Therefore, you just said that God is not all-powerful. Good job.

If one writes the rules to life, can he change them?
But the real question is, why should he?

Did I ever? Of course there are things He cannot do. He cannot force wisdom on you either.
