Good for those Mormons!
I'm not a Mormon, but personally know of many...some in my not-so-immediate family and friends. As I do find many of their beliefs "odd", I would say that those people place more emphasis on raising their children to be more well-rounded, talented, upstanding and educated citizens than from families of any other religious following I have personally known.

I know many mormons.  They are without doubt good people.  They are family oriented and live clean lives.

However, they believe that we can become gods.  They believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers.  There are many other bazaar theological beliefs of mormons.

Does that mean I disrespect them?  No.  Absolutely not.

I believe they are deceived by a man called Joseph Smith who wrote the Book of Mormon.

I love them anyway and pray that they will come to know the real Savior.

Honestly, although "Origin" tales are fascinating, in the long run only the end result matters.

Mormons are nice people. Productive. Good Neighbors. Amish, too.

Hundreds of people are formally renouncing their membership in the Mormon church in protest over a new policy that punishes same-sex couples and their children, an attorney assisting them said.

Utah lawyer Mark Naugle, 30, whose family split with the church 15 years ago, is offering his services pro bono to those who want help with the paperwork involved in getting off the rolls — which have 15 million members.

In the week since the policy was announced, 1,700 people have contacted him, he said.

"People are fed up and just don't want their name associated with the church any more," Naugle said.

How many members do they have? Their problems sition on this is Biblical. The rebels will find homes that reject Scripture on this.

I hesitate to comment on this because I consider the Mormon Church a cult. However, even cults have their bad seeds.

And then there's the Catholic cult and her daughter prptestent cults

The Mormons are among the most strict cults.  They are very ridged in their "rules" of faith.

Me too. Though I find their belief system a bit...ummm, Odd?
I respect them for what and who they are, I've never met a Mormon I didn't like.
