Info wars is one thing, but to support your theory with a leftist rag like the NY Slimes seriously cuts into your credibility.

The NY Slime can make all the excuse it wants, but the reality is, Communism always fails, always!

Before I say this, let me take a moment to make it very clear. I'm personally a Constitutionalist.

I believe and support with every fiber of my being, our Constitutional Republican form of government. I think our form of government, where it's rule by consent of the governed. Is the best political system any nation can adopt.

But that said. Historical truth is well the truth.

And well truthfully, (I know some "christians" itching ears will throw fits when they hear this too) it was the first century Christian Church, who first devised Communism.

I realize lots of people don't realize this when reading in the Bible how the church was set up.

But yeah, according to how the church was set up Peter, Paul, Mark etc...the apostles, in the first century A.D.

It was communism.

It's also the system of government, which is still to this day practiced by most of the Christian Churches out there.

This is what I myself call "true communism" and it is not the same thing as what most think of as "communism" today.

When most people think of a communist today.

I find what they're really envisioning is what is a marxist/socialist like Bernie Sanders, not a true system of communism.

Or representation of a people who follow communism.

This post has been move to the Religion Forum.  If you derail a thread again you will get a time out.

I think you are trying to correlate a form of government to a commune. Yes they have the same Latin root word, but are nothing even remotely similar.

How can you possibly equate 1st century Christianity, with the most brutal form of government in the world.

Since you made the assertion, how about backing your theory with facts. In the absence of facts, you just have an opinion. Which, for the most part, is worthless.

Answer:  This is what I kind of understand (it's off the top of my head) and I may be wrong.  So, please bare with me.   I have to read a bit more to provide more detail. Because there is some overlap between the attributes of a commune and the communist state.   There are major differences as well mainly the goal.    Communism's goal was to create a world state in which there would be no social class.  It was supposed to be a revolution from capitalism.   It was supposed to function as a global commune.   With the commune of the 1st century with Christianity it's goal was different.  They had the similar functions but the goal of the 1st century Christian commune was to spread Jesus's gospel of love.

Both types came together as one and was supposed to share in everything like food and other things.

To me, the major difference was the goal.

I would say the major difference between the Christian commune and the communism is that the first one is a spiritual community, while the other one is a secular community. That is why a Christian commune can actually succeed, like in monasteries for example, while a communist commune is always a failure. That is, when you gather in a commune for the sake of Christ, then God and faith will be your strength to succeed. But when you gather in a commune for the sake of material wealth, there is no faith, because you can't actually believe in material wealth, and therefore your commune becomes just thievery. That is why communists usually need to replace Jesus with some leader who they worship, whether it is Marx, Lenin, or Mao, but it still can't work without God. Communism is like a fake Church, a secular Church without God, it tries to imitate Christian commune but just without God, and that is why it always fails.
One Christ. One Body of Christ. One Eucharist. One Church.

While your assertion on commune's is accurate that is not really the issue.

the issue is that Democracy is why religions of all kinds can thrive on one place.  A Theocracy is a bad idea as much as a Communist Government is.  Both are totalitarian regimes we can easily see this throughout the world today.

but in a SECULAR Democracy such as the United States based on Natural Law, allows all religions to not only succeed but to prosper!!!

the best solution contains aspects of all, religious based principles and respect, secular principles to respect all beleifs, and socialist bents for services such as police, fire, education, old age, the poor, etc.

this also encourages inclusion instead of exclusion.

we have a great nation.
