Tom Petty's death confirmed by manager
Tom Petty, the American rock icon whose laconic drawl and jangling guitars made him
a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and one of the best-selling musicians of all
time, died on Monday at a Santa Monica hospital after suffering cardiac arrest. He
was 66.
