#1 on the Billboard chart the week I was born....
The Chordettes - Mr. Sandman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDXT7wC9jrc#)
LOL I remember some of them young kids on American Bandstand.

Hey, Strut!
Where is a hit song from your birth year?
I have a few paper records from way back then.... I will see if I can find then and have a look see. LOL
I'll be 50 in December of this year; born in 1961. I like to say that with the Berlin Wall, Cuban missle crisis, everything bad that happened that year, was made up when I was born. :))
I am a December baby too, MM.
So here is one of the top songs of 1961~
Roy Orbison - Crying with k.d. lang (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-EiKPrAOHA#)
1954, my dad used to whistle this when I was young, and it became an old favorite.
The High and the Mighty, from the movie of the same name.
Les Baxter and his orchestra - The High And The Mighty (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjN5_cJDWHs)
Another hit that I'm sure you've all heard...
The Chordettes - Mr. Sandman

Stand By Me by Ben E. King is my second favorite song of all time, my favorite being Georgia On My Mind (only sung by Ray Charles). I think Michael Bolton should be shot for even attempting that one... ;)
I was born in December too UK and MM :D We should start a club hehehe
another song from 1969
The Dells - Oh What a Night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jehvFHQb0uE#)
I'm pretty sure it was playing on the radio the night I was born ;D

Love that song!
December was evidently a good month in the 60's, eh ladies? :D :-*
WOW!! December Babes!! WOW!! :o
Bet I have the worst birthday date! The day after Christmas when no one wants to party and no one wants cake! Bummer!

I dunno...my son's birthday is Christmas Day itself. The best Christmas present we ever got. :D I think the worst part is that you only got one present the whole year. What we did was celebrate Christmas on Dec. 24th. The 25th is Josh (he was named after our Lord) and Jesus's birthday only. It works for us.
MM, I would gladly take Christmas Day to celebrate than the day after. Yes, he was a great Christmas present.
Joshua is a beautiful name!

LOL that does suck UK ..... although mine kinda sux too ,...it's on the 29th and by that time people are broke from Christmas and they are all excited about New Year's Eve...
Yeah, and they really dont want to spend any money til the 31st. My mom used to have my birthday parties at the half mark... June 26th. That wasnt so bad.

LOL. Poor Josie...my daughter's b-day is January 4th. She says she hates it because people are broke from Christmas and still hung over from New Year's, and angry because it's back to work time. ;) :))

:o I never ever heard that!
Shame on me for fibbing! I have gotten that all my life! "Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday, Kay!"
This Christmas, my kids gave me a very nice luxurious oversized towel, hand towel and small bath towel. I sweetly thanked them and then the following day, I received another matching set. ;D

Haha!! That's about right, Strut! (drying 3 people)
@ MM~ Aww If your hubby is like mine, that explains why you havent any matching towels. I have no clue what Jerry does to my towels. He is the guilty 1!

Thats the only towel I use, ST hates them.
I like the size that you could sew two together and use it as a Queen size sleeping bag. :D
