Over the years, he hosted other versions of the music countdown show on radio and television.

We used to listen to his programs on our camping trips out west and back.

Though I liked his show, I feel no sorrow over his passing, he deserved the last miserable years of his life.
If memory serves me correctly, he changed the pronunciation of his name from Kah-seem, to Kasum.

When he was healthy and had a celebrity bully pulpit, Casey Kasem was a far-left, anti-American, anti-Israel creep, who dumped his first wife for a blonde model/actress bimbo. So no tears for him from me, now that he is old, sick, and infirm. Karma is a bitch. And anti-Israel, anti-American karma is a sharmouta.

Kasem was also constantly at far-left marches and protests, whether it was against the Vietnam War, while our guys were losing life and limb over there, or at anti-Reagan protests. This Arab nationalist, to whom America gave so much, clearly didn't share too much of a love affair with the country. Kasaem also helped raise money for ACCESS–the tax-funded Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services–a Muslim-dominated, tax-funded Arab welfare agency based in Dearbornistan.

I pretty-much agree, Sol, except I was against 'im because he was against FM-rock.   -Treating it like a wayward child who wouldn't conveniently go away.     

Unlike Dick Clark, who basically embraced every next new trend because his audience did.

Boy he'd be really pissed today had he known FM is becoming Conservative talk radio.
