"Burn is actually as political of an album as you can get with lyrics that don't waste the meaning of a single word." - SleepingBagStudios

Hardcore punk band Leadsucker have released "Burn", their debut album, via Toxic Highway Recordings.  Formed by a former government employee-turned-whistleblower, "Burn" navigates through 30 tracks in just over 25 minutes, and the end result is an exhausting, unrelenting album that goes for broke on every track:  Politicians are called out by name, government secrets are exposed, and sensitive subjects are treated with all the care and tenderness of a wrongful police beating.

Eschewing the cheap, manufactured theatrics typical of most similar bands, Leadsucker has instead opted for a confrontational approach that has nevertheless found supporters from both ends of the political spectrum, thanks to its raw sound, and shockingly emotional lyrics.  This is that rare political work that transcends political parties to deliver a single, unified message:  That the ultimate battle in America isn't between Democrats and Republicans, but rather a government and its own citizens.
