I've an answer for you Adele: Beyoncé has to come up with a tune or three that's worth a damn.
But seriously, how sad is it that a white talent has to disavow her success, and insist a singer-of-color is better than she is, so as to prevent condemnation from the left ?
Beyoncé.
The only song of hers that ever comes to mind is "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)". It's complete pap, but somehow has become de rigueur for every Wedding I've been to in the last decade (along with YMCA - sigh).
"Oh Rotwang, you're just a racist A-Hole" ok. maybe.
But I also despise Madonna (who actually did have some hit tunes so long ago), and Streisand (who was always a poor, female imitation of Frank Sinatra.).
But I give Adele a great deal of credit; she's figured this crap out, and she said exactly what she needed to, to survive these days.
Taylor Swift should take heed.

It's just that her songs suck. (I don't like her politics even one bit, either, but that's a topic for another thread).
Plus, in her defense (I do try to be fair), I've not heard her personally attack other artists.
The Kardashians, on the other hand, have no talent, no class, and are simply disgraceful in every way.

That was my point, in my book, they're all the same. I don't judge Bouncy on the "relative" scale, I judge based on music acts going back decades, and just because the industry has all but collapsed, in no way makes a no talent hack good, just because the rest of the competition/field sucks.
Carlos Santana was correct (although he's since walked back his remark she's not a singer). Undertalented and overexposed, that's our "immortal" what's-her-name!

Take away sampling and 90% of all rap songs will sound as empty as a liberal promise. Rock has degenerated into fourth-generation ripoffs of third-generation ripoffs. Country has gone rock---sort of. Jazz? Most are too young and inexperienced now that the true greats are dead or no longer playing.
